Good morning to you! I have been meaning to use
this cute layout from CAS(E) this Sketch for a long, long time and I've clearly missed the deadline to link up my card, but I couldn't resist making a card with it anyway.
The main image is the Teardrop Tree Die-namics from My Favorite Things, and unfortunately, it's been discontinued. I did find it at Simon Says Stamp though, so I've linked that up for you at the end of my post. Whew! I love this little tree and when I bought it, I couldn't find the time to use it. So now, here you go.
I stamped the diagonal stripes with the Striped Backgrounds stamp in Jellybean Green ink and then cut the tree trunk right out of the middle of the teardrop. This way I can layer it up flat. I sponged around the edges of the trunk in Chocolate Brown ink so the embossed texture comes out a bit more.
I wanted some sort of background for my little tree, so I tried to add some re-inker drops to the sky, but that turned out to be a major disaster, so I started over and went the safe route and used the little splatter drop images from Abstract Art. Much better. Controlled messy. I can handle that.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
