Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge 207

Good morning!!  It's time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge!  Want to play along?  Here is the deal: make a card with this layout and use the InLinkz button down at the very end of this post to enter your card. The links will close on Friday at 10 PM (Mountain Time). Be sure to link directly to the blog post or gallery image which features your card. You may post a picture of the sketch on your blog, but please save the image to your computer first. Use the keyword SSSC207 if you plan to post your card in an online gallery.

I'm having a ton of fun using MFT Stencils lately.  I signed up for Stenciled - the latest class from Online Card Classes and I'm so excited to use all of the stencils I've been collecting.  I did a little embossing with MPD Petal Pattern.

I created the background by running a square of Pink Lemonade Card Stock through my Vagabond with the MPD Petal Pattern Stencil and the thin Embossing Pad.  I placed the stencil back over my embossed paper and then lightly sponged some Pink Lemonade Ink over the stencil, creating a tone on tone look.

I used the flowers from Blueprints 12 Die-namics and cut them out in Smooth White Card Stock, then lightly sponged the petals with Pink Lemonade Ink.  I stamped the sentiment from Essential Sentiments in Black Licorice Ink and then placed the flowers beside it.

That's it for now.  The Sweet Sunday Stampers have much more to show you.  Please hop on over and see:

You can find these fabulous items waiting for you in the MFT Boutique:

  2. Absolutely gorgeous Karen! I love the look the stencil gives. I'd love to try that technique some day. I like how the black card stock just peeks from behind the pink layers. Always a great combo!
