It's time for another Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge! Here is the deal: make a card with this layout and use the InLinkz button down at the very end of this post to enter your card. The links will close in two weeks, next Friday at 10 PM (Mountain Time). Be sure to link directly to the blog post or gallery image which features your card. You may post a picture of the sketch on your blog, but please save the image to your computer first. Use the keyword SSSC180 if you plan to post your card in an online gallery.
WANT TO BE A GUEST Sweet Sunday Stamper? I'll be picking my favorite card or project after each challenge and that winner will have a special guest spot as a designer on a future Sweet Sunday Challenge. I'm SO excited about this! You can enter as many different cards as you'd like before the following Friday deadline, so get stampy!
I will be announcing the next Guest Sweet Sunday Stamper later this week, so be sure to check back to see if you will be joining the design team for SSSC181!
I'm hoping to jump start spring with this card. See, Friday it was 72 degrees here and then yesterday it was a balmy 50. This is spring in Colorado and it just teases you with a few nice days and freezes you out, then the next thing you know, it's 90+ outside. I'm ready to smell fresh cut grass and listen to the giggles of kids playing outside.
I'm using a set from My Favorite Things called Pure Innocence Pucker Up and she is one of the very first PI's I purchased. I love her. Lots. How perfect is she for this square card?
I stamped her in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on X-Press It Blending Card Stock and then colored her with Copic Markers. I stamped her again on some Collectable-Memorable 6x6 paper from My Mind's Eye and paper pieced her table. Polka dot tables are all the rage these days. I used my W3 and W5 Copics to shade in the table and the Grassy Edges Die-namics. Instead of a circle element on the side, I used the zigzag banner from the Mix & Match Banner Die-namics set.
Here is a detail shot on the grass. I layered the tall grass behind the table and the shorter grass over the front of it.
I stamped the sentiment inside the card over the top of more grass from the Grassy Edges Die-namics.
