Good morning!! Do you remember this post from last year?? Well, this weekend I finally got some time to sit down and work through the second lesson from Up & Running With Photoshop and since I wasn't able to make a page for my sweet little Avery {who is not so little anymore}, this page was dedicated to her. In fact, she sat down with me through the lesson and we made this one together. It was her idea to use the Fleur-De-Lis {she said she loves the Saints} and we added that instead of the little check mark Jessica suggested. She also gave some running commentary on what we should write about her. I loved working with her - what a bonding moment. She is getting so mature and it makes me sad and thrilled all in the same breath. Click on the photo to see a larger version of it if you'd like.
The photos are from a little trip to the park last June after we all went out for a Father's Day dinner. I had my little camera with me and got some cute shots of the kids that day. So much fun - I'm sure I'll be using the other photos for more digi pages soon!

Very cute. I took Jessica's class at your suggestion a few months ago and loved it! Can't say I'm a digital scrapbooker, but it definitely helped me make a new blog banner!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I may have to go check out the class. THanks for the info!
ReplyDeleteI think your page looks great. I find that digital scrapbooking has quite a steep learning curve...
ReplyDeletewhat a moment...and a memory! thanks for sharing this sweet & inspiring project, Karen!
ReplyDeleteWhat an awesome page of a great memory! My 3 kids (all in their 20's now) used to tire of me taking pics of everything (they would call me Flash Gordon) but they thoroughly enjoy looking at their scrapbooks of their growing up years. When my oldest son got married, he created a wonderful Powerpoint show that started off the ceremony. Where did he get those pics? From Flash Gordon's scrapbooks! Just want to encourage you to never stop journaling their lives! Sorry, I didn't mean to ramble on so much - lol!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun LO! I usually lurk (not enough time in a day to comment on all the artwork I'm inspired by), but just had to ask...Is that Fossil Creek Park? I have a daughter who's almost 10, and she has a lot in common with your Avery...she's a tomboy, loves to be outdoors, collects all kinds of things (particularly shells though), loves Star Wars and is totally consumed by playing Legos with her older brother (so much so that we're taking them to LegoLand this summer)! Must be the age --too funny! tfs
