Stamp With Fun Challenge #46 & Papertake Weekly Challenge 16/02/10

Stamp With Fun have a fab sketch designed by Tina46 which is sponsored by KreativArt.

This week Papertake Weekly so pleased to introduce a new sponsor for us ... Stitchy from Stitchy Stamps. Here is a little bit about Stitchy and her work - I have been creating stamps for about 8 months now and absolutely became addicted when I learned how..I started with paint shop pro about 6 years ago and use to design scraps for scrapbooking..I introduced a good scrapper friend of mine to digi stamps and she decided to open a store - Digital-Ink,Co - about 5 months ago and the rest is history lol...So the challenge this week is "Check This Out" And quite simply we just want to see some gingham or checks included in your work. It could be a ribbon or included on the design paper. As always, this is entirely up to you.

I was so tempted to stitch this card and still think that something is missing with no sewing on it at all. I just felt i couldn't do it on this one, what with having sewn 2 cards already for this person i thought a 3rd was overkill! Lol!

Papertake Weekly Challenge ~ My Favourite Things

Remember the song from The Sound Of Music about raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens?
Well that's what weeks challenge is all about ...
My Favourite Things.
You can really indulge yourselves here - use anything you want as long as there is something favourite of yours on there. So it could be a stamp, or your fave colour combi or papers. Or all of them put together.

To be honest my favourite things change so often its unbelievable ... i'm so fickle lol! At the minute this is my favourite colour scheme and papers. There's also my favourite leaf punch that i've used ... its the only leaf punch i have as well pmsl!

CS ~ Stash, DP's ~ Raspberry Road Designs, Image ~ RAK coloured with Whisper Strokes, Flowers ~ Dovecraft Daisy Punches, Tools ~ Sewing Machine, Woodware and Dovecraft Punches, Gems ~ Stash

The Next Level ~ Challenge 6

This week's THEME for the CHALLENGE OF THE WEEK is .....
BUTTONS AND BOWS
That is it - you can be as creative as you like, make anything you like, but it must have BUTTONS AND BOWS on it - the more the merrier!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was looking through my image box and found this gorgeous Sarah Kay that one of you lovely ladies sent me (as usual i can't remember who), but i think she's absolutely adorable and the only one i have!

I'm sat here listening to Rylee and Andy playing on the PS1 lol .... Rylee desperately wanted to play on his Pop's Wii this morning and no matter how cute he looked or how much fuss he kicked up, it wasn't happening! I suggested Andy set up the PS1 on our telly in the bedroom cos its surplus to requirements and it doesn't really matter if it gets broken. Rylee thinks its fab and i'm sure Andy does too, cos he snook upstairs with Rylee, saying they needed the loo lol ... in all fairness Rylee has started potty training last Wednesday and we've only had a few accidents ... just the one today! All i can hear is a police siren and lots of shouting and screaming. At least it gives me chance to have a little crafting time.

Ellie phoned today and has text on numerous occasions lol ... her and Tilda got up at 9 this morning and sat on the balcony and had tea and toast! When she rang she was sat in a bar, wearing a bikini, drinking Sangria! She had to rub it in and say how hot it was and that they couldn't bare to walk on the sand it was sooo hot!

Beth came home last night, after her 3 nights away ... she still brought her attitude home with her and promptly told her Mum as she left this morning for work, that she would be home tonight, but not until she was ready! What do you say to that? I'd really appreciate it if some of you could make a card for my sis ... she feel rather alone on this one and i'm sure they'd cheer her up no end!

CS ~ Stash, DP's ~ Summer Driggs, Tools ~ Sewing Machine, Woodware leaf punch, Ribbon slot punch, Ribbon & Blooms ~ Stash, Buttons ~ Poppicrafts, Sentiment ~ freebie Wordart.

Friday Sketchers #42

Mumur from France has created this weeks sketch and is sponsored by "The cutting cafe".It offers 3 choices for the winner of any of the cafe sets.I'm loving this card and love how the papers go together. Once again they're all scraps and i'm now beginning to wonder if i'm ever gonna use them all ... they're never ending! Brown CS ~ scraps. Raffia ~ stash. Flowers and pearl ~ stash. Image ~ RAK from Jill coloured with WM's, i just adore this Sarah Kay image, she's soo cute! Stitching ~ sewing machine. There isn't a sentiment on this card yet, cos i haven't decided what or who its for yet! Not done the flourishes either cos i dont have one of those gorgeous stamps yet. I've looked in all my craft shops and they dont seem to sell them ... so any ideas will be most welcome.
Edited: I've finished the inside of this card now, see photo below.

Friday Sketchers #39 Take Two

I decided to give the Friday Sketchers sketch #39 another go cos i really dont like that card 2 posts down and no matter how much i look at it it's just not doing it for me.

So here is take two .....

CS & DP's ~ again from my leftover's, stitching ~ sewing machine, image ~ RAK from Jill, coloured with WM's, flowers ~ made for scraps of card, pearls ~ stash. I've not put a sentiment on yet, cos not sure what to put. My cousin has just been diagnosed with breast cancer (which is why i used the pink ribbon paper) and has to undergo radium treatment starting next month. This card is just to let her know we're all thinking of her.

Colour Create 3 & Sketch Saturday #38

I wasn't really happy with the first card for the Colour Create challenge if the truth be known and so i've done another one that i'm much happier with. This is also a Mother's Day card and will be for my VBF Vicki to send her Mum. The one before was supposed to be for Vicki, but i hate it that much its now gonna be the MOT's pmsl! Well, i dont wanna waste a good card do? And Andy said anything would do her, so she get the one in the previous post.
This card is loosely based on this weeks Sketch Saturday #38.
CS & DP's ~ out of the scrap paper folder, stitching ~ sewing machine, eyelets ~ RAK from Linda, ribbon, button, flowers ~ stash, sentiment ~ pc generated, image ~ RAK from Jill (i think lol ... i do apologise if its not).#

Now this card i'm happy with and i just adore it! Much better than the first one!

Colour Create Challenge #2 & Sketch Saturday #37

The challenge at Colour Create is to make a card using "peach and aqua". There is an extra option available which you can use if you wish, although this isn't compulsory. This week's option is 'DIY flowers', which means not using any pre made, bought flowers on your cards and projects.

Did i have a job with this card! ... spent most of the morning whilst my lunch was cooking looking for peach and aqua paper ... not easy! After trawling through all my papers on the hard-drive i did manage to find some to fit the bill.

I also combined this challenge with Sketch #37 from Sketch Saturday a fab sketch designed by Jeanette and sponsored by Whimsy Stamps this week .

CS ~ stash, DP's ~ a mixture of Pink Petticoat and Summer Driggs, image ~ Sarah Kay coloured with WM's, flowers made using smallest Nestie die and the Cuttlebug and by following the tutorial here, button and raffia ~ stash, sewing done on machine and gems ~ stash.

Thought i would add this photo taken last night of Ellie before she went out to a "pimps and ho's" party. Obviously, she doesn't normally go out dressed like this lol!

She makes me absolutely sick ... i wish i was this confident, young and gorgeous! I'm bound to say it i know cos she's mine.

The First February Card ....

So I'm on a bit of a roll today .... god knows why or how cos I'm sooo tired. Tab's been keeping me up most nights on messenger, but boy we've had fun and a right old giggle! Talking about all sorts and not liquorice ones either ... food has been band lol!

CS ~stash, DP's ~ yes you've guess it another one of the paper packs kindly donated by the lovely Linda, flowers, buttons and gems ~ stash, image ~ Sarah Kay coloured with WM's.

I just loved the layout of the card that Tab sent me so decided that I'd pinch it for this one. Its turned out quite well I think. Thanks Tab honey ... mwahxxx
