If A Kiss Was A Raindrop I'd Send You Showers ....... DP2 Challenge #122

I've had a day off from the moving and decorating of our friend Paula's new "ground floor bungalow"  applause.  Only because I needed to make a birthday card for my Mum's 76th birthday on Saturday party.  We're gonna take her out for dinner and try to make the day special, although its not going to be a good day without angelDad with her in person.  However, I'm sure he'll be flying on his angelwings to be close by her.  She's had a tough old week, obviously worried worried about the results of her biopsy for skin cancer, which are due next Wednesday and she's struggling with not being able to do anything, thus giving her too much time to thinking think! .... chance would be a fine thing for me raised eyebrows ....

This is Paula's bedroom which I completed stripping with the help of  "The Outlaws" before Paula arrived on Saturday ...

This is moi yesterday, after putting up the wallpaper and starting the painting .... happy as a oink smiley in sh**

"My Sentiments Exactly"  is this weeks DP2 Challenge big grin.

For my card I used the beautiful "Waiting For Rain" image from Mo's Digital Pencil ...

.... close up ...

... and once again, naked on the inside ...

Home Is A Starting Place Of Love & Dreams .... PTW Challenge

I've had the past couple of days relaxing, making cards, peace and quiet :D ... before Mum returns again tomorrow!  We didn't want her to be on her own seeing the New Year in alone straight face ... so DH and I are back on the airbed tomorrow night ... sadly, I get so excited about this rolling eyes can't believe how comfy it is!!!

This card has been made for my youngest DD, who will be leaving home January 14th, next year party ... I'm on countdown and have been since last week :)!  Whilst I love love struck her dearly, I can't wait for her to move out with all her faults and the puppy,  and I'm really hoping that becoming totally independent will be the making of her and turn her into a nice young lady!  raised eyebrows

This week sees the last Papertake Weekly Challenge of 2011, which is a fantastic sketch ...

Sketch Saturday Challenge #164

Good Morning folks on a very damp, dreary day here in the UK!  What has happened to our sunshine?  I suppose at least one good thing will come out of today's downpour .... no watering of the veg patch tonight!

I've had yet another action packed week here this week.  Another week of GP and hospital appointments, this time not only for Dad but for me too ... We managed a family day out at the hospital the beginning of the week with Dad having a CT scan, my niece and myself having a blood test ... surely there are better places for a family day out LOL!!!!
