Magnolia vs Stampavie ~ Week 21

I don't always think about playing along with this challenge blog, plus at times some of these blogs do make me feel a little inferior. Anyhow,enough of my complex lol, this weeks challenge is a sketch and i just adore sketches .. where would i be without them?!

I'm on to my May cards now ... I've managed to recycle some of the cards i'd sent people and they'd given back to me rather than throwing them away. I gotta do all i can during this current climate lol! This card i've made for my Dad from Rylee. I used this fab Magnolia image that Tab sent me (thanks hun, mwah) Edwin with chicken can be brought from here. I know its an Easter image, but i thought it would work well for a card for my Dad, who used to work on a farm when he was a young man. DP's ~ Basic Grey and are part of my blog candy win. Stitching ~ sewing machine. Image ~ coloured with Whisper Markers. Eyelets ~ RAK from Linda (thanks hun). Raffia ~ stash. Swirls ~ RAK from my VBFBF Diane.

I've decorated the inside with the left over paper.

*Week 4* Get the Feeling...

I thought I'd use this theme to make Rylee's Christmas card seeing as I had already coloured a Magnolia Santa (thanks Becky) and added flower soft to his coat and hat.

Right, I love this card but think that something is missing in that top right hand corner. No matter what I put there it just doesn't look right. So, I want honest opinions here .... shall I leave it as is or shall I put something there, if so what? Had thought of putting grandson somewhere but not sure where!

Magnolia vs Stampavie ~ week 1 & Cute Card Thursday ~ Challenge 35

This is the very first challenge on this blog for Magnolia vs Stampavie and is a sketch challenge done by JayJay and sponsored by Donna ( Crafty Krafts ).

Cute Card Thursdays challenge 35 is Fairies + Angels. This week they would love to see either Fairies or Angels on your cards and they have a fantastic prize which has been kindly donated by Helene at Alota stamps.

I've had this card in my head since the beginning of the week, but just not found chance to make it until this evening. I intended to make it this morning but the main PC or Andy's PC's crashed in amazing style with flashing lights and sirens! It had an almighty virus (antispyknight) that he spent hours trying to remove manually yesterday only to have to format it this morning! With the main PC out of action it meant that I had no printer to use until all the operating system and all the drivers had been reloaded. So I had to result to doing house****... sorry ladies! This is how bored and stir crazy I was .... I started by doing 2 candles but then I couldn't finish those cos I needed the printer, so I moved on and cleaned the cooker ..... moped the kitchen floor, lounge floor, Ellies floor once I'd changed the bed sheets and dusted her room and then the spare bedroom floor! I went to my parents house to give them both a haircut and then back home to prepare and cook tea. Whilst continuously loading the washing machine and tumble drier! Anyway, eventually got to sit down and make this card.
