Carol's Fun Sketch #3

Yet another fab sketch from Carol and more goodies for one random winner....

I've made this card for my neice Carrie whose having a 30th birthday next month... God, that makes me sound old, but there's only 9 years between us and the funny thing is theres 9 years between her and my eldest Fae and 9 years between Fae and Carrie's daughter Ebony! Anyway , CS ~ The Works, DP ~ Raspberry Road Designs, Bailly's Room, image ~ google search engine, sentiment ~ done on PC and cut out using Nesties, flowers and bling ~ stash.

Both Carrie and her hubby are mad on VW Camper vans and have a huge collection of bits and bobs. Obviously, not being able to afford the real thing I thought I'd use an image on both cards. Here's the card I made for Dean.....

CS ~ stash, DP ~ leftover from last weeks PTW challenge, image ~ google search engine and embellishments ~ symbols cut from Hippie Chick alpha's on the cuttlebug in leather, turned them over cos I thought they looked better that way round! Layout is loosely based on Friday Sketchers Sketch ~19

CS ~ Papermill, DP ~ Shabby Princess, image ~ my new fabby Joanna Sheen stamps coloured with H2O's and watercolour pencils, shell ~ Cleethorpes market. Used my one and only border punch....some of us aren't lucky enough to get hold of one of the new Martha Stewart punches lol! Sentiment ~ Whisper Words.

Sewing a card??!!!

I've seen on a quite a few of your blogs that you do a lot of sewing on your cards, so I thought i might as well give it a go. I have a sewing machine and overlocker from my dressmaking years in my 20's (gosh thats years ago!). Anyway, I got DH to haul the machine out of the cupboard for me and off I went ... nothing to it is there! The hardest part is hefting a heavy machine in and out of a cupboard quietly so not to wake Rylee lol!

I'm really pleased with how this has turned out, I'm gonna look for a smaller machine though, something that I can keep on the table top that doesn't take up too much room. CS ~ Papermill, DP ~ is leftover from 2 previous cards but is originally Raspberry Road Designs, Flower Girl, image is coloured with watercolour pencils and blinged with glamour dust, hearts ~ Morrisons. I made this using the sketch from Carol, as in a previous post.
