Have A Fairy Sweet Day .... Mojo Monday 222

Good morning my lovelies ... Happy 1st Birthday to my grandbaby Koree!  So, how happy am I today?  big grin  ... as angelDad would say, "as happy as a oink smiley in sh*t" ... Oh Yes!!!

Yesterday I told you all about the "Budget Shabby Chic" guest room to be as from next weekend ... I also told you we had spent £26 of the £50 budget on a bed and curtain fabric .... batting eyelashes  ...  yesterday morning we needed to add to the furniture ... something like a wardrobe and 2 bedside cabinets perhaps?  happy ... Well, after a smooch around on the local freecycle website on Friday night I managed to secure both of these from the same lovely lady and we collected them first thing yesterday morning ... FOR FREE!!! smug  They couldn't fit in any better with the theme had they been purpose built ... we most definitely have some guardian angellooking over us to make sure we achieve this look ... Thanks Dad x

Keeping with the fairy/angel theme I made this card following the great sketch at Mojo Monday ...

I used Fairy 2 from Mo Mannings Digital Pencil Too

... and close up ...

... again I printed her in her raw state on the inside with a cute little poem/verse I found on the net ...

To make this card I used~

Just Christmas and Birthday Cards Sketch #40 and Colour Create Challenge #24

I've woken up this morning with the most lovely cold sore .... hmmm, i wonder why i have one of those?! Perhaps its the lack of sleep and stress we've had of late lol! Just waiting for Sainsbury's to open so i can pop down to the Pharmacy and buy some magic cream for it. Have looked online for some home remedies, but dont fancy putting nail varnish remover or bleach on it :0
Last week there was a great sketch to follow created by Karin.

And Colour Create's Challenge is to create a card using PINK, ORANGE and GREEN.

CS ~ From my Papermill box from Paula (thanks mwah's)
DP's ~ Shabby Princess ~ Shabby Mommy Kit
Image ~ one of the fantabulous images from the uber talented Mo, she has the most gorgeous images available to buy at her Etsy shop ... anyhow, she's been coloured in with Watercolour Pencils and Whisper Strokes, after a generous spraying of hairspray!
Gems and Pearl ~ Stash
Tools ~ Sewing Machine, Woodware Leaf Punch
Sentiment ~ Pink Petticoat Sentiments and Tags.
Lace ~ RAK from my VBFBF the gorgeous Diane
Once, i've finished stroking this card i've decided to give it my sister ... yeah she's still having trouble with the spawn of Satan that is her daughter Beth! The latest update is ... the police arrived at my sister's door last Saturday night ... we were happily chatting on the phone when 4 nice police officer's arrived in a riot van lol ... but so not funny! Cutting a long story short ... Sis asked me to go down, when we got there Police had both Beth and Dec in the van ... apparently so the story goes ... Dec was at pub getting sloshed with friends, Beth picked him up with her so called boyfriend/friend ... wound him up like a clockwork mouse all the way home ... dropped him at her ex-boyfriends where Dec was got out of car and let loose ... he got out like Tazmanian Devil ... arguments ... things thrown ... Police called ... Police tell Beth not to drive car again that night or it would be confiscated and she would be arrested ... wouldn't hand keys over so I got in car ... very nearly got arrested cos they thought i was gonna drive it! ... Police left knowing that Beth caused trouble not Dec ... arguments ensued ... throwing of wheelie bin cos Andy (DH) had car key ... locked in bathroom for hour and half ... Andy outside door trying to reason with ... Dec extremely drunk, crying on sofa ... Beth comes downstairs ... squares up to me, her nose touching mine ... i did same back to her ... she not like and walks out ... sit with Sis for another hour until Beth comes back ... quiet most of week cos not got car ... stays out all night Wednesday ... car booked in Saturday morning to have new clutch, cos its karput! Andy gives back ignition fuse so that car can be started and taken to garage ... not clutch costing £160, but gear box costing £580! ... only cost £600, so told to come home and see about scrapping ... not seen since lol! Road tax runs out midnight Saturday ... AWOL! (didn't return home)
Update: Sunday morning Beth still not home ... we have now got to sit and watch it all fall apart around her ... the self destruct button has well and truly been pressed and there appears to be nothing we can do!

Colour Create #23

Hi peeps, this is another one of my cards that i managed to make yesterday, but decided not to load up until today ... gonna try eeking them out over the week instead of mass posting at the weekend and silence through the week lol!

This weeks colours are Blue and White, with the optional extra of VINTAGE.

I was really pleased that we were back to using 2 colours for the Colour Create challenge ... 4 is a bit extreme in my opinion .... not that, that counts for anything these days pmsl! Anyhow, I did thoroughly enjoy making this card and am dead pleased with the results.

As you can see from the sentiment this is another card i made for my estranged ... emphasis on the strange .... sister. Another card that she wont get, cos its just too flippin' good for her. I've taken the sentiment off now and changed it to Sister-in-law for my parents to give to my Auntie and instead used the card that i made my Mum for Mother's Day for my sister lol! My parents don't keep the cards i make for them .... i know ... how rude?! I can't bear for them to be thrown away after all my hard work, so i have them back and recycle them lol .... yes i'm tight! I can live with her having one that was made for someone else, but just couldn't get my head round making one especially for her ... odd i know.

CS ~ Stash, DP's ~ Summer Driggs, Image ~ Maribel, coloured with Whisper Strokes, Flowers and pearls ~ Stash, Sentiment ~ PC Generated, Tools ~ Sewing Machine, Woodware Leaf Punch and Nesties

This weeks challenge at Papertake Weekly is Delightful Downloads, so all you have to do is use something on your card that has been downloaded. It could be a paper or an image or both!Colour Create's colours have been chosen this week by Juliet and are Pistachio Green, Aqua and Powder Pink.
And finally Truly Scrumptious challenge is a sketch designed by Sharon.

My card has been made for Ellie and Tilda's friend Claire (yes my daughter actually has a friend called Tilda!). Claire has just got some fab grades in her first Uni year exams (or something like that ... god knows).

Colour Create Challenge #20

This weeks challenge is ... fruits. Choose ANY THREE of the following colours; Strawberry, Raspberry, Kiwi, Tangerine and Blackberry. Obviously you dont need the exact shades of these colours, so a little bit of artistic licence is just fine.......... we're talking Red, Pink, Green, Orange and Black really!

Another blasted male card! With the added brief of nothing to cutesy cos its for a more mature person shall we say .... personally i'd say it was for an oldie lol .... late 40's pmsl! (me being only 25 ... dream on ...40 is really old :( and i'm feeling it!). Fortunately, he does have a sense of humour ... which helps i suppose when your THAT old!!!

I've used Blackberry, Kiwi and Strawberry with a hint of Tangerine in the paper.

CS ~ Stash
DP ~ Freebie download called Miaaow! Yeah i know its a dog, but the paper has paw prints on and no-one knows! You can't really see them for this photo...
Images ~ Can't remember where these stamps came from or who they are by ... and i'm too lazy to get out of bed and go downstairs and have a look lol ... i shall edit the post when i get up! But they're cute anyway!
Sentiment ~ PC Generated.
Only 2 July cards left to make ....Yayyyyyyyy! And both of them girlie ... what a bonus!

3 in 1 Challenge Card ...

Cor blimey, i've not managed one of these in a while ... a 3 in 1! I've completed Papertake Weekly Challenge which is "Shoe Time" So anything shoe-ey goes ... i.e. a shoe shaped card, an image, a shoe sentiment, anything at all. Colour Create #19 "Blush Pink, Lilac and Mossy Green" and for the extra option ... use die cuts on your card or project (and these can be cut with a machine or precut in a sheet). And lastly Willow Sketchie Challenge 11th June 09 ... this weeks sketchie has been supplied by Zoe.
Absolutely loved this sketch and will be definitely one that i shall use again ... although i say that and most of the time never end up doing so, cos i find yet another sketch that i like and end up making a card with that one instead!

CS ~ Stash
DP's ~ Free download called Daydream

Image ~ Sketching Stamper Digi-stamp, coloured with Whisper Strokes and blinged with glitter within an inch of its life!
Glitter ~ Stash
Gems ~ Anita's from Reams
Sentiment ~ PC Generated
Stitching ~ Sewing Machine
Lacey Stuff ~ RAK from Diane
Decorated the inside with more of the same paper ... only cos this one was originally the piece i'd printed out for the front and then decided i didn't like the wording i'd put along the bottom whilst playing in Paint Shop Pro ... dont think i'm ever gonna get the hang of that program! I used another image that i printed out smaller and coloured in, but this time instead of using the glitter i used my Sakura Stardust Pens. The flower was from a RAK i recieved from the lovely Diane, i dunno what i'm gonna do when they run out!
So, on to the Beth update .... she arrived home last night at dead on curfew time {claps} and toddles of upstairs to my sister to ask her how she had done at WW. This is sooo funny .... she says to my sis "what did you lose at fat club?" ... sis replies "Weight" ... Beth sits down on the bed! Sis says "what you doing" ... Beth says "waiting for you to tell me how you did at fat club!" ROFLMAO!!!! classic! She managed to get up for work and went off in her little car ... no further updates as yet cos she'll only just've finished her second job as a waitress that she does on a Thursday evening after working at nursery and all day on a Sunday. It tops up her pitiful apprenticeship wages of £85 per week! .... to be continued .....

Colour Create Challenge #18

This weeks Colour Create colour combination is ... Rainbow
Once again i'm making the male version of this challenge! I'm seriously thinking about getting rid of some these men ... I only have 4 girly cards to make for July the rest (7 left to do) are all male! I had 11 in total to make! I'm still gonna be no better when I reach August ... I have Andy's, Dec's and Suzie's (*waves*) that month so the girly cards are still out numbered!
This is the first of Rylee's 2nd birthday cards.
CS ~Stash
DP's ~ Miaaow! downloaded from here and a few left over papers
Stitching ~ Sewing Machine
Image ~ RAK from my gorgeous blog buddy Jill (i haven't forgotten you honey!x) coloured with Whisper Strokes

Sketch Saturday #51 & Colour Create #16

This weeks sketch is sponsored by All That Scraps and this weeks Colour Create challenge has been set by Kim and is sky blue, tan and ecru ...
So here is my card ... i used this opportunity to make another of my June cards .... and the last Father's Day card on my list ... yayyyy ... only one more male card to do for June and thats my lot. I can then send out my July card request text and hope that i get some girly requests in there somewhere! I've been getting rather frustated when visiting your blogs and seeing you've made all these pretty girly cards for the challenges and i'm stuck with making the male versions! I'm clearly having pink, flowers and ribbon withdrawal lol!

CS ~ Stash
DP's ~ Birthday pressie from the lovely Linda (thanks x)
Stitching ~ Sewing machine
Image ~ Magnolia & i have no idea where the cute little dog comes from or the paw print, if my memory serves me well and we can never be too sure about that at my age .... eh Vicki! ... I believe i won it, but anyhow, they are both coloured with Whisper Markers and watercolour pencils, with a bit of paper piecing on the tie.
Sentiment ~ PC generated
Buttons & Raffia ~ Stash

The inside was decorated with the off cuts from the front and some more stitching.
Water feature update .... I've not ventured down the garden today, but Andy has and he reliably informs me that we still have water squirting out of the bottom step. The garden is beginning to become water logged, which isn't helped by all the rain we're having again today. I shall be ringing the council tomorrow to let them know that we have a leak as advised by "Leakline", and hopefully they will send the Maintenance officer to come and have a look-see. No doubt he'll stand there and say "Oh it looks like you have a burst mains pipe" much like he did when my bed went through the floor boards and he came and said "it looks like a case of woodworm" that was after he asked if i'd been having a good time when it happened .... how blooming rude is he?! I was not impressed to say the least. Clearly my sense of humour had left me that morning ... or perhaps it was due to sleep deprivation. Oh the joys of social housing pmsl! At least it wont cost us anything. If i get chance i shall start taking photos so that you can see the progress or lack of it. Last time this happened we had a huge hole in the side yard for weeks while they fixed it .... i use the word "fixed" loosely cos the outside loo has never worked since lol! and i feel sure they cemented up a hole that perhaps shouldn't have been! I just thank goodness we've not had the garden landscaped cos i'd be mighty p***** if we had!

Colour Create #15

This week's challenge has been created by Heather and is blue and green.

I decided tonight that i would make a card for my Auntie and Uncle to let them know that we're thinking of them also.

CS ~ Stash
DP's ~ freebie download ~ Cherry Limeade
Sentiment ~ from the same freebie digi kit
Images ~ Magnolia Spring stamp club. Masked and coloured with Whisper Markers and Sakura Glaze pens.
Gems ~ Stash
Ribbon ~ Stash (local market find)
Butterfly ~ birthday pressie from Tab (thanks honey x), didn't really want to use, but they are special people and i can't keep them forever lol!
Beads ~ Stash
Pin thingy ~ some jewellery findings that Tab sent me, not sure what they're supposed to be used for but it works for me.

I've also decorated the inside with leftover DP's and CS
Flowers and gems ~ Stash
Quote ~ found on brainyquote.com

I hope this will qualify for the Colour Create challenge cos i know it does have a little bit of yellow on it, but then i figured that yellow is sort of a very light green pmsl!

Sketch Saturday #49 & Colour Create #14

How cruel is this weeks Colour Create challenge? Do they not know i'm on Weight Watchers .... its bad enough today without seeing pictures like that. I'm having major problems for some reason, since i got up this morning i could eat my own arm ... it seems the more i eat, the more i want. Right now i would kill for a family sized bag of Revels and am teetering on the edge. If it wasn't for the fact i haven't done my hair and make-up today and i'm in my jog bottoms and hoody ... i swear i'd be at the shop now! Have even considered sending Ellie to the shop, but she's busy getting ready to go out on the town.

For this week's extra option at Colour Create they would like ribbons added to our creations, but please remember that this is not compulsory.

CS ~ Stash
DP's ~ Summer Driggs
Flowers ~ Stash
Stitching ~ Sewing Machine
Ribbon ~ Stash
Butterfly ~ Crochet by ME!
18 ~ Hippie Chic Alpha Die
Brads and Pearl ~ Stash
Image ~ RAK from Diane coloured with Whisper Markers
I'm gonna try and be brave, but i'm really not sure how long i'll last ... i've already forfeited a sausage roll tonight ... which was demanding that i ate it .... how long can i resist chocolate ....
Edited: I have to admit to forcing Andy to go to the shop for me .... I demolished a family sized bag of Revels whilst watching "24" .... if I've put weight on this week, I shall be holding Colour Create DT responsible ... pmsl!

Truly Scrumptious Challenge #5 & Colour Create #13

Oh i've been cooking on gas this morning. I was awake at 6.50am ... up with the birds ... wondering where my 19 year old daughter was for one thing ... the little ****, her. Kid's who'd have em? I sometimes wonder why i did ... Unfortunately, for us we appear to have chosen the wrong name for her, although i'm not taking responsibility for that cos i wanted to call her Naomi, Eloise was Andy's choice!

It seems every Eloise we have met or read about is an absolute nightmare. For instance in the book i'm reading at the moment has an Eloise in it "Eloise (who was Satan cunningly disguised as a four year old festooned in pink frills)." "Eloise sauntered up to Reuben and, with the casualness of a seasoned football hooligan, whacked him over the head with the plastic fairy wand she was carrying" "Eloise's proximity and the 'it wasn't me, I didn't do it' expression gave the game away" " Sorry, said Eloise, grinning and clearly not meaning it." Which is precisely what she did when she arrived home this morning after i sent a few choice words to her in a text message. She meant to let me know, but fell asleep! In all fairness she did text her Dad to say she might be out all night. Anyway, i was up the sun was shining and i have my June list of cards to make. 2 down ...11 or so to do. The majority of them are mens/boys cards ... which i find, like most of you, quite difficult to do.
I was hoping not for a repeat of yesterday, where my mojo escaped me and all i did for over an hour was sit and stare at an image i coloured!
This weeks challenge at Truly Scrumptious is hosted by Design Team member Michele and she has put together a fab sketch. Whimsy Stamps have a range of adorable child and animal images so it seemed appropriate that the theme for this challenge is to make a Card for a child. Remember, you need to follow the sketch AND the theme to be entered into the draw for the prize.

Week 13 at Colour Create is "Orange, Green and Brown" as you probably know orange and green are just a couple of the colours i love working with, so i couldn't wait to get started with this one. This weeks extra option is to make a card for a man/male/boy.
CS ~ stash
DP's ~ Shabby Princess and left overs
Image ~ High Hopes, coloured with Whisper Markers (thanks Tab, mwah's)
