Day 29, DoD day of the dead art

This is the continuation of my art collab with Sal, the video is coming soon with more details!

I just wanted to post the painting as my last face of the 29.
Well, I hope everyone had fun, and even if there was stress and frustration, we still discovered something new by pushing a daily time to do our art. :o*

Super moon

Did you see the moon last night? So beautiful and big! I could see details and the shadows in there, I wish I could capture it with my camera! But anyway, DH and I went out chasing the moon and took some photos:

 Another photo:

Oh! I have to scan or take a photo of my "Face in the world" painting! It's back and so adorable!

Another Art Journal page

I didn't want to post anything yesterday, with all the terrible news from Boston.
Today I have this page which started as a more angular design, got lost in the layers, took a very scary turn until finally ended in something I agreed with. Has a little collage rice paper:

Thanks for visiting, have a wonderful day ♥

The moon

What a beautiful moon we have! I took some pictures yesterday and tonight, such a lovely moon. I got a new digital camera for Christmas and it has a bunch of effects. So far I am loving it even if I'm not sure how to use them all the right way :o)

These are some of my shots of the full moon, enjoy.

Thanks for visiting ♥

She needs more

Remember the last lady I painted in profile? She is gone. She turned into a dark blue night.

The new lady here needs more. First she needs hair, maybe some clothes? Definitely more layers of color and perhaps a party hat :o) In this second picture I corrected a few details like eyes and shoulders, but I am far from finished. I think I'm keeping the hat, I love the colors!

Every time I sit to paint, times zooms by.I need to think about her hair color. Not sure if she will have black, blond or red hair :o)

Is it that time of the year already....?

One kid sick with a stuffy nose and fever... gosh! it isn't even cold yet! Fall weather doesn't get here till December, usually :oP just kidding, we can get horrible fog any time after October.
Oh well, let's talk about art, shall we?
I just finished some details on this girl and I am very happy with it:

The Maguey leaves (are they called leaves too, in this kind of a plant?) have a lot of detail ans layers :o)
I just learned is called "Century plant" in English, thanks to Wikipedia :oP

Time to do some more art!

Doors and Moon

I wanted to share you a cool posting I found about doors. I LOVE doors! For a long time I collected door pictures. I would go on a trip and find some door to photograph. I don't know exactly why I find doors so awesome... they tell a story, they welcome you, that's the first and last thing people see when they are home. Just like people, each door has it's personality! LOOK HERE and enjoy.

Now, for the moon part of this posting:
We are celebrating the 40th anniversary of the man walking on the moon, (or did he...?) and here's a picture I took this past 4th of July. I like taking moon pictures :o)
