Etsy changes and sale code

Some people knew about it months ago, some had no clue, and some like me, had it changed and asked for our opinion after the fact. What? The Etsy new look, which is basically the removal of the banner and relocation of info around the page.
Do I like it? No. Does it help people? Not really.
But.... I already told them in their survey. Lets see what happens.

It was such a pretty day yesterday. we had a bit of rain, it cooled the weather that had been unusually hot; we had almost 90 and it still was Winter. Don't want to imagine how hot the Summer will be :oP

For the past few days I was on call for Jury Duty. It is a long but interesting procedure, for those that are not familiar with it, and people go there with a mix of dread and interest, for the most part. I was not selected, so I felt a little sad, but here I am with the art work I did at night:

First post of 2013 & Giveaway!

So, 10 days into the new year I finally come to post. I have been feeling a bit blue, a bit busy a bit lazy... and frankly uninspired. Blame the gray ugly skies, but whatever the reason (and in my mind I have plenty....) I have been MIA.

Well, let's do something fun!

October news and Giveaway!

I spent tons of hours the last couple of days, opening a new Etsy shop, and listing dolls and ACEO. That is just part of what I had mentioned days ago.
I do not know if it is crazy to separate everything, instead of keeping it in the same shop.... but people keep saying not to mix different art (And some go as far as not to mix styles or different mediums... I am not to go there, forget it! :oP)

In other news, not so new, as you can see I decided to add some fun colors in the sides. I am happy with the way it looks. I have to say, it was easier than redecorating the house and move furniture!
I'm going to be painting for a while, before it's time to open the door 500 times to treat with candy goblins, witches, cats, dogs, robots, vampires and a variety of disguised humanoids.

Halloween ACEOs for the 26th day of 30

I want to say, the best part of a challenge is to push the regular schedule and get out of the comfort zone. It's been close to a month for this 30 days of art, and I have enjoyed the challenge even with all the household and computer drama, because I felt a new wave of creativity in my mind.
I do not work fast, and I don't know how some people have a video ready each week, with all the complicated taping, editing and working.... so far I am in the second video, of the 3 I challenged myself to make. It is a very simple video, mind you. But will upload in youtube tomorrow.
The other thing to challenge besides painting daily, is adding them to Etsy...! so I listed 2 ACEO today that I painted a few days ago, click picture to see listing:

I think their little dresses turned out cute. I am not always happy with the dresses :o)

At the end of the challenge, I will go back to post every other day. I think that leaves the post with a bit more time of exposure, although some people get the post by email.

Here we go...You know, with all this changes in Etsy, the "relevant" new way of searching and be found... we all have to remember to have the right TAGS, the best TITLE in our listings and the first few words in the actual text of the listing, 160 characters which will show up in a google search.

So many things to do...

.... And so little time! I need at least an extra hour, I'm sure you guys feel the same way some days :o)
Well, I can't wait for the coming exciting events! The One World One Heart is coming and promises to be the best ever, only it is the last time too... But it's starting in 3 days, so keep your eyes open and don't miss my giveaways (I can't post a preview, but it is cute! Gray is gray

Well, it is gray outside. And rainy. Deep gray, not just "slightly" gray. If it wasn't depressing, it would be a rather magnificent shade of gray... but thank you, I rather have some sunlight. At least a little glimpse of the sky, a bit of blue... Oh well. It is winter and winters are gray around here. :oP

Frida's Blue Bird House

This is Frida's blue hose. If Frida was a bird. Or if a birdy named Frida lived here... Because it is a real working bird house.
...Or you can just keep it as part of the decor. It can also be used as a fancy outhouse (for a tiny midget). Maybe not.

Well in any case, I listed this original and colorful piece. It is one of those projects that took a while to finish then I didn't know where to list it,  but finally here we go!

Wow, is it mid January already?

OK, so time is flying. We are already thinking on Valentine's day. I am thinking of the chocolates mostly!! hahaha

All this past days I have been running around cutting paper and trying to get some new art cards done. It's so funny, I start painting and pretty soon I have my kids and their friends trying to paint too. It's a wonderful way to keep them entertained and doing something creative!

My son is getting an award for "best artist" in his school. Reminds me of my school days, only that they were not giving kids awards for "that" in those days, but still I was the one girl that would spend all her time drawing.... even in the middle of Science class. :)
