My old paintings need new homes.

Some artists destroy their old work, their rejects or what they no longer "feel", as we all change styles over time. That's fine for those that can do it.... I can't.

Even if I'm not that style anymore, it is something I felt, something that inspired me and made me grow, and something that one person somehow still can relate to.

I'm going to say good bye to some paintings to new homes. If you have read my blog before, you know I have been into every media, so there's a bit of everything. Some are framed too, ready to hang.
Please help me spread the message! If you think a friend of yours might like to see, share this post ♥ I ask for shipping costs -or frames- via paypal.

Here are the paintings, by medium.Click to see larger.  Post here or email me in private.

20 minutes...?

I have been timing myself to paint a bit faster in the hopes to loose my brush work. I get too much into detail and although it can be fun, I also admire the more abstract, free paintings.
So.. it was great to find Gritty Jane doing a "20 minute painting" activity. Perfect timing for me.
Now the thing is... do I stop at 20? So far I have, look a the piece... and keep going a bit more hahaha
I just can't help myself! But it is a nice incentive, to have the impending time stop. For those that perform better under pressure, you should try it!
This is my 20 minute stop:

This is a few minutes later:

Few more minutes...

And this is where I finally stopped. I regret nothing! :oD

I was so caught up in this, that I didn't even think of hands.
But that's ok. Thanks for your visit and your wonderful comments. ♥
Since it has details in orange, it's going to the "Mandaring Orange Monday"

Made a background!

It took me forever and a half, but I made my own background. I like it a lot, but I am not sure I will keep it because I think there's too many things going on. Nevertheless, I am happy to finish it, even if it was at midnight!
It looks better in a wide screen. When I looked at it in the other monitor you can't even see the edges at all :oP

I used this image of a recent painting:

I probably will be playing with images to make a new banner, but that will be another day.
Good night, good morning... good weekend! (Can you believe Christmas  it's only a week away!?)

T shirt!

Yaay! I just finished designing a Tshirt for my spanking new zazzle shop!

It only comes in white. I have to design the one for black background yet. Took me forever but I'm very happy with it.I also added a mug!
Tomorrow I will keep adding goodies to it.

oil painting Day of the Dead

What do you think? I think I am done. I could keep going but I will stop at this point :o)
The hair is different of what I am used to in oils. And Iwas still thinking of doing the Frida Kahlo uni-brow...

The colors are a bit off in my monitor anyway. She is not as pink in person. I love polka dots :o)

Hope you all had a good one!

It is kind of late to post a happy mother's day, as the day is almost gone, but I hope you all had a nice day too. This is a pretty calla lilli from my yard.
We had a sunny day, went out to eat, went to a museum and got to see a house that had been relocated to the museum 2 years ago. We went there too when it was moved, it was fun to see! But took a while by the time it was reinstalled and redecorated etc..... it was nice, I love old houses and even when it was not a fancy house, it was well kept and documented.
After that, we stopped for an ice cream and it stared to rain just in time to go back home, so all in all it was perfect. Best of all, my little one is not sick anymore, so that made me a very happy mom :o)

Looks almost like a fairy infestation

This is what I have been finishing. I am very proud of myself actually! :oD
All those little dolls that were left behind have hair, outfits and wings... it would be so cool to have them in the backyard, in the bushes, popping up from corners... Only that I know some are naughty and it would be a big problem to catch them all lol

And also have been painting. See my WIPs I am not done with all the things I want to finish (or the paints I want to start!) But I am loving it...

I love going from periods with tons of texture, to times when I love soft grayish colors and no texture. Always find so exciting to go from acrylics to oils, then rediscover pastels....
I know, it's more marketable to stick to one thing, have one style.... but alas, I am not there yet... or maybe I am not that kind of artist. Who knows, as long as I find pleasure in it, I guess I am fine :oD
