Christmas and New Years!

I find it hard to believe that Christmas came and went and to me, for some reason, it didn't feel too Christmasy. We did have a nice holiday and got to spend time with those we love.

My last time teaching my cute Primary class.  There were several missing but I love those kids and had such fun year getting to know them better.

Sam's wish list.

My mom's world revolves around ornaments so she made this cute one for Sam.

Abby's first trip to the temple so was fun.  I was able to go with her and that made it very special to me!  I love her faith and her sweet testimony.

I had asked the director of Heritage if we could "adopt" a resident for Christmas this year and she gave us Bea Murray's name.  We had fun shopping for her and bringing her gifts.  She was so sweet.

Christmas Eve Eve Eve dinner at Greg & Kattia's house.

Christmas Eve dinner.  No cooking.  No dishes.  Feliz Navidad!

Christmas morning!  We enjoyed a quiet morning at home, opened fun gifts then headed up to the condo to celebrate with the rest of the family.

Sam got a Tom Bergeron Bobble Head!

Condo fun!

Thankfully, Todd shaved his Jew-fro off!  Angels sang hallelujah!

We were lucky enough to go spend post-Christmas week with G'ma & G'pa along with the Easterly's, Bressman's and Duguid's.  We enjoyed the sunshine, warm temps, swimming in the heated pool, dining out, dining in, playing Monopoly, hunting for shark's teeth, massages, bike rides and spending lots of time together.

We got to celebrate Julianna's 3rd birthday a little early!

New Year's Eve swim!

We enjoyed the holidays and are happy to enter a new year of fun adventures!

Jackson Hole

Life has been so hectic that I am way behind!  Here's our Jackson Hole adventure!

We left on Saturday, July 27th.  Our flight was scheduled for 4:30pm but while driving to the airport, we got a call that the flight had been delayed.  The issue was that we would miss our connecting flight in SLC.  Well, such is life.  We had 3 hours so we were able to go to the Crown Room thanks to Michelle Jarvis and Todd managed to get us on an earlier DIRECT flight so we raced to a different gate and managed to get on!  The only issue:  no luggage til the next day.  No matter, we would make do with what we had in our carry on luggage.

Sunday, July 28th:
playing petanque

lunching at snake river brewery

due to rainy weather, we went to the amazing rec center pool

awesome elk at the cabin

Monday, July 29th:

Judy and I went to the Senior Center for aerobics.  I was certainly the youngest there but the least coordinated!

After our work out, we met up at Nora's Fish Camp for lunch.  It was yummy!  We then headed to Teton Village to take the tram to Rendezvous Mountain

We then let the kinds jump and they loved it.

David, Judy, Abby and I took a bike ride around the neighborhood and it was so nice!  The weather was just perfect.

Todd rented a Harley and took the kids for short rides.

Todd attempted to take a longer ride but it started hailing!

Tuesday, July 30th:
Todd left early to ride to Yellowstone and he said it was amazing!

I took Sam to play miniature golf while Judy took Abby down the Alpine Slide.

We rode down the slide again while Sam played round #2

We had a great lunch at the Pearl Street Market then Abby & Judy went shopping and Sam and I went to the rec center again.

Todd took Abby on a motorcycle ride and they had a great time.

I went on a long bike ride with Judy then we met up with Todd and Abby at Dornan's for dinner.  I then rode home on the bike.  It was a bit chilly!

S'more time!

Wednesday, July 31st:
We were up and off to breakfast at the cabin.  Abby was working on her dog fort.

Abby, Judy and I rode bikes to the Golf Club for lunch.  It was 10 miles round trip and it was a lovely day for a ride.

We had a lovely lunch and there was an "incident" while we were there.  A little hummingbird flew right into the window near our table and knocked itself out!  Judy went to pick it up and it flew off.  Poor little thing!

We had a fun surprise...the Theurer's were driving through town on their way home so they stopped in and we had ice cream and chatted for a bit.  Not nearly long enough time together but it was fun!

David, Judy, Abby & I went to McPhail's for a yummy dinner of burgers and fry sauce!  Oh how I love fry sauce.  Sam had chosen to throw a fit so Todd stayed home with him.

Once Sam was calm, they did take a ride with Cricket to Mormon Row.

Thursday, August 1st:
It was a full day!  Abby, David and Todd went fishing...well, Abby did the fishing and she caught 2 fish!  It was the one activity she wanted to do.

We got Sam a babysitter for the day so that Judy and I could go on our adventure:

First, shopping then the Spa!

Judy bought me an amazing cashmere sweater and it will be shipped soon!  We picked up some sandwiches then went to the Amangani Hotel and Spa for wonderful 90 minute massages!  Oh my, it was so great!

We dined at Trio for dinner then walked around town for a bit then picked up some gourmet chocolates.

David & Judy took the kids home and Todd and I wandered a bit more and got some ice cream

Lots of knitting was done on this trip!

Friday, August 2nd:

Sam had a rough morning and ended up taking a nap which was what he needed.  We played some badmitton then the girls ran to town for some groceries.  Todd did manage to take Sam to hit some golf balls once he calmed down

It was then back to the Rec Center for more swimming.  We had steaks for dinner then once we got cleaned up, Todd, Abby and I took the Jeep to Mormon Row

It was an amazing adventure!  We saw the old barns and cabins, saw bison and 6 MOOSE!  It was so awesome!

We spent the rest of the night getting packed and ready to leave on Saturday.

Saturday, August 3rd:

It's always sad to leave and we had such an amazing time!

We were so excited to enjoy some Cafe Rio during our layover in SLC. Yum!

Our flight went well and our journey  home was perfect!  We were happy to be home, safe and sound!
