Millie

I guess it was inevitable that we would get another dog.  It was hard to imagine going from Newman, the perfect dog, to a period of time with no dog, to a puppy.  Having just moved into a new home and still trying to get settled made the choice even harder but how do you resist this face?!

Millie was abandoned at a local Petsmart and was being fostered in a home in Senoia.  We found her on the internet and went to see her.  She was very well socialized, kept up with 3 big dogs and was sweet.  We decided that she was "the one."

We picked her up, took her to the vet, got a clean bill of health and proceeded to spend too much money on this little creature.

We didn't tell the kids and surprised them with this girl.

We showed up at Abby's bus stop and she nearly cried.

Millie is a sweet puppy, training very well (shake, sit, speak, crawl, roll over, etc.).  Todd has been in charge of her training and so far so good.  We are happy to have this pupster join our family.

Abby turns 11

Abby turned 11 on October 11th...the Golden Birthday!

She really wanted a party this year so we got it planned and it went really well.  We invited 7 little friends from school and neighborhood.

Decorating pumpkins

Playing outdoor games

Opening gifts

For some reason I didn't take a photo of the hotdog and s'more roasting but that was next...

Glow in the dark golf cart ride around the neighborhood

A couple of girls had to leave but the rest spent the night
The next morning we had pumpkin pancakes, hashbrowns and bacon

We wandered the Farmer's Market for a bit

Shopped at Claire's

Went to see Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2

 Good times with friends

It's hard to believe Abby is 11!  What a great girl she is.  She is kind, patient, smart, funny, witty, honest, faithful, charitable, sweet, loving, grateful, talented and just plain old good.

Happy birthday sweet girl!
