Dave took the three older boys (I either had the stomach flu or food poisoning so I stayed home with Preston) and went up with Mick, Lori and their kids, to Grandma and Grandpa's cabin in Nephi Canyon. They took the snowmobiles in and drug the kids up behind on sleds and a big rubber boat we acquired. I believe fun was had by all.

This boy is a Year Old!!!
This little boy is such a fun little stink. He now weighs about 19 1/2 pounds - he's very healthy. He has 8 teeth, can go up and down the stairs by himself, loves to wave at his Dad whenever he sees him, calls me and Spencer "Mama" and Dave and Gavin "Da", points at things he knows he's not supposed to touch, shakes his head and says "no", sticks his tongue out at you - and many more things. He fits right in around here.
Happy Birthday Preston - we love you!!!

Christmas Morning
Gavin and Spencer woke up at 2:00 this morning to see what Santa had brought them. We let them take a peek and them told them to GO BACK TO BED!!! They did go back to bed and slept until 8:00 - much better.

Family Christmas Party
We had our Hall Family Christmas party on Gavin's Birthday this year. Santa came to visit and we had some good grub - what more could you ask for??
(Preston was sick with the tummy flu and stayed with Grandma and Grandpa.)
This boy is 10!!!
I can't believe 10 years ago today we had our first little boy!!
Gavin is such a wonderful addition to our family. He loves dirtbiking, riding his BMX bike, skateboarding or riding his ripstick. He LOVES reading lately - most times you can find him with a book - he and his dad are really into reading and watching things about World War II lately. He is a good big brother and is a lot of help to me with Preston. He is also good for a cuddle - if we're just laying around watching TV he will usually come watch with me and cuddle into me - I love it.
Happy Birthday Gavin - we love you!!

Extreme Sledding
We're done with all of our Christmas shopping and gift wrapping so we didn't have anything to do yesterday. Gavin and Cooper both asked at different times if we could go sledding, so we packed it all up, and took our good buddy Hailey, to the hill just over by our church.
This was Preston's first sledding adventure and he LOVED it. He sat and bounced in the tube while Dave and I took him up and down the hill - attached with a tie down. He crawled out of the tube a few times and scuffed up his forehead a bit, but even that didn't ruin his experience. After a while his pants were all wet so I took him in truck to warm up. I took his pants off and put him in is car seat with his blanky and he was out - almost instantly.
The boys were so excited when we got there and they noticed the nice jump someone had already made - they just had to try it out - Hailey too (Sorry Chris).
What a great day we had.
This picture is hilarious if you click on it and look at their faces close up - I can't stop laughing.

Piano Recital
The boys had their annual Christmas Recital tonight at the church. Gavin played Silent Night and Spencer played Up On the Housetop. They both did really well and we're all proud of them!!!
Santa!!!
It has been a tradition in our family the past few years to go and see the Train Show and Santa in Payson at the Peteetneet.

My Preston
I cannot tell you how much I love having this little boy in our family. He is 11 months old now!!!
He is everywhere and getting into everything now - the bathroom doors have to be closed at all times. He has had 5 teeth coming in all at once and is still pretty happy - he makes all of us laugh. He loves to bounce - he bounces on the couch, on our bed, in his car seat when driving in the truck, on the mattresses we have for the boys to wrestle on, etc.
He weighs about 19 lbs and we recently put him in a convertible car seat (rear facing) so he is no longer in an infant carrier - he's a big boy now.
He has had a rough year of battling the sickies. Starting with his bout with RSV earlier this year, he has also had Crupe twice, a few colds, the flu and then a couple of weeks ago we had him in the ER early in the morning - he had a Bacterial Infection in his Intestines which caused a fever and bloody diarrhea. Hopefully the next few months will be pretty healthy for him - yes, we did get him his H1N1 vaccine.

Spencer's Thanksgiving Program
Today all of the 2nd Graders got together and had a Thanksgiving Program. They sang a bunch of great Thanksgiving Songs - Spencer has been singing them around the house for a while, so it was fun to hear them in the program. Spencer did a great job and we're so proud of him!!!
He is SO cute!!
Cooper thought it was HILARIOUS that Preston was laying like this - he just had to take a picture.

My Mom
My mom has been alone for more than 20 years now. When I was young I was so afraid that she would marry someone - I was so afraid of allowing someone else besides my dad into my life and heart. Once I got married I understood what it was like to have a companion and a best friend and started feeling bad for my earlier feelings and fears. She has had to do so many things by herself over the years and I can't imagine how hard it must have been for her. Now don't get me wrong - she has been a very strong, independant woman and at times has told all of us that she "doesn't need a man", but I know deep down, its been a struggle for her.
Randy came into our lives last spring by way of a blind date that one of my mom's co-workers set her up on. At first, they were just buddies - it was nice to have someone to have dinner with, or to watch a movie with. As time went by, they continued to spend more time together and started getting closer. They went to the temple one afternoon about a month ago and were able to hold hands in the session at a special time and place - this is where everything changed. I think once my mom held Randy's hand and kissed him for the first time she realized what has been missing these past 20 years, and I think she remembered how nice it was to experience again.
My mom and Randy Goble will be getting married in the Provo Temple on February 13, 2010. I could not be happier for both of them. Love you guys.

Goblin Valley
This past weekend we went to Goblin Valley - Yay!!! We haven't been down there for 2 1/2 years since our truck broke down and created quite the hassle for us.
We LOVE Goblin Valley - it especially holds a dear place in my heart - it was the last place we went as a family (when I was little) with my Dad before he died.
This time we went with Dave's brothers family and some of their friends, and we couldn't have had more fun. We went and hiked Little Wild Horse Canyon on Saturday for four hours and then went into the Goblins on Sunday and hiked them for three hours - needless to say we were a bit sore and tired the next day. We found lots of geodes, which were mine and Gavin's favorite (he brought home about 4 grocery bags full of them, I only brought home a total of two geodes). :)
Dave brought his potatoe gun down too and everyone got the biggest kick out of it. He would shoot the potatoes and the kids would try and find them - I believe they got shot at his brother Mick a time or two as well - No Micks were harmed though.
That's Spence laying on the rock.
