Hobo Bags and Temple Square Lights

We had a really neat experience tonight.  A couple of weeks ago there was a discussion on Facebook about helping the homeless.  I was nominated to head up a group of about 10 families to put together some bags for the homeless that included: food, gloves, socks, toothpaste, toothbrush, a Book of Mormon, chap stick, etc. All together we put together 60 bags and decided to deliver them to the homeless ourselves.  (Preston asked me what a homeless person was, and so I told him that they were hobos - because that's what the older boys call them and Preston knows what that means - so the bags were called Hobo Bags at our house.)

Tonight we got together with a couple of the families and delivered our bags to the homeless.  They were ever so grateful - and we were so sad that we didn't have more to go around. It was great to show the boys a great act of service and a humbling experience as well.

After we delivered our bags - we went to Temple Square.  It was the perfect ending to a great day.
