Sledding at the Cabin

Dave took the three older boys (I either had the stomach flu or food poisoning so I stayed home with Preston) and went up with Mick, Lori and their kids, to Grandma and Grandpa's cabin in Nephi Canyon. They took the snowmobiles in and drug the kids up behind on sleds and a big rubber boat we acquired. I believe fun was had by all.

Warming up by the fire.

A little crazyiness happenin'.

The train of sleds, tubes, ski sleds, etc.

This boy is a Year Old!!!

Preston is One!!!
This little boy is such a fun little stink. He now weighs about 19 1/2 pounds - he's very healthy. He has 8 teeth, can go up and down the stairs by himself, loves to wave at his Dad whenever he sees him, calls me and Spencer "Mama" and Dave and Gavin "Da", points at things he knows he's not supposed to touch, shakes his head and says "no", sticks his tongue out at you - and many more things. He fits right in around here.
Happy Birthday Preston - we love you!!!

Family Christmas Party

We had our Hall Family Christmas party on Gavin's Birthday this year. Santa came to visit and we had some good grub - what more could you ask for??

(Preston was sick with the tummy flu and stayed with Grandma and Grandpa.)

Gavin asking for DC shoes and a Nintendo DS.

This one's been naughty!!

Cooper asking for a skateboard again.

Santa was telling me a naughty joke.

Spencer asking for DC shoes - still not on his list!!

This boy is 10!!!

Gavin blowing the candle out on his Birthday cookie - he made these himself - he insisted.
I can't believe 10 years ago today we had our first little boy!!
Gavin is such a wonderful addition to our family. He loves dirtbiking, riding his BMX bike, skateboarding or riding his ripstick. He LOVES reading lately - most times you can find him with a book - he and his dad are really into reading and watching things about World War II lately. He is a good big brother and is a lot of help to me with Preston. He is also good for a cuddle - if we're just laying around watching TV he will usually come watch with me and cuddle into me - I love it.
Happy Birthday Gavin - we love you!!

Extreme Sledding

We're done with all of our Christmas shopping and gift wrapping so we didn't have anything to do yesterday. Gavin and Cooper both asked at different times if we could go sledding, so we packed it all up, and took our good buddy Hailey, to the hill just over by our church.
This was Preston's first sledding adventure and he LOVED it. He sat and bounced in the tube while Dave and I took him up and down the hill - attached with a tie down. He crawled out of the tube a few times and scuffed up his forehead a bit, but even that didn't ruin his experience. After a while his pants were all wet so I took him in truck to warm up. I took his pants off and put him in is car seat with his blanky and he was out - almost instantly.
The boys were so excited when we got there and they noticed the nice jump someone had already made - they just had to try it out - Hailey too (Sorry Chris).
What a great day we had.

This picture is hilarious if you click on it and look at their faces close up - I can't stop laughing.

Cooper trying to get a little more speed by putting the snowboard underneath the tube.

Preston having the time of his life.

Down the hill with Dad.

This was the red sled's last sledding trip.
Now that's alotta air.

Getting ready to test out the snowboard.

Poor sled....and Gavin's bum.

Smooch and myself.

Taking Preston down the hill with Cooper this time - he eventually pushed Cooper away - he likes tubing by himself.

Ready to go....

For those of you who don't know Freestyle - this is called the Superman.
