2015 Sewing goals

Kerry is proposing to list our 5 main sewing goals for the New Year. It might be hard to limit myself to 5 :-) but I'll try!
goals

1. Quilt A - I bought this pattern from Kids Quilts years ago and Miss Baby hasn't got a quilt I made her before so I am really hoping to get this one going.


2. Quilt C - I bought this pattern from Kids Quilts years ago too and I'd love to finally get going with this one too!

3. Quilt M - I have a stash of blue and green blocks that I would like to make into a quilt

4. Skirt for me! -  I have signed up for Michelle's Patterns Skirt Sew Along starting in January with the intention of making myself a skirt and finally starting to use my overlocker

5. Frozen dresses - I have bought all the material I need with the intention of making the girls a Frozen dress, crazy? Yes probably! - Finished in February 2015

6. T-shirt quilt for hubby - I know Kerry said 5 but I need to add this last one for Hubby's birthday next year!

I am sure there are 101 other projects that I would really really like to do in the coming year but let's try and keep a focus on the 5 above and see whether they will all be finishes this time next year.

Welcome to my stop on the Hexie Blog Hop Be a Hexie Queen ! I am a hexie lover and always have an emergency supply of hexies in my bag for when I am on-the-go (which is actually very often) and when I first signed up for the blog hop, I thought I would show you a EPP (English Paper Piecing) hexie project. Blog hop and a giveaway

I have written a blog for over 2 years now but started quilting about 10 years ago, mainly self-taught. I love fabric and my stash is probably too big for my needs, but can a girl really have TOO MUCH fabric? I don't think so! Ravenbrook Scrap Quilt Along

  Yes I know, another new project... but (!) this one is all about using my scraps, what's not to love. And the instructions come in German for the  Ravenbrook Scrap Quilt Along .  The first 3 blocks are made of rectangles and I used only scraps to make those (I can't really say I have made a dent in my scrap basket either actually...) I picked green as the focus colour for the blocks since this is the January colour for the Rainbow Scraps Challenge organised by Angela I joined the challenge years ago but hadn't participated in recent times. Of course it would be tempting to start yet another project but I think using my scraps for this quilt along in the set colour of the month is a safer plan.
