Wild & Crazy Hi Tag!

Hello, everyone!  It's Broni and I'm here to tell you to put your sunglasses on!  I played with some Dylusions ink sprays and it got a little wild!

I told ya!

I started with a #8 manila tag and spritzed it really well with Pure Sunshine ink spray.  Then using the Mini Funky Tags 6x6 template and the Dylusions Dotted Flowers stencil I spritzed with Bubblegum Pink ink spray. I sponged around the edges with an ink blending tool and some Black Soot distress ink.  I also stamped some mini chevrons in Black Soot and sponged a few more dots with the black ink too.

I spritzed some of the pink spray onto some seam binding and stamped it with the mini chevron as well.  Then I cut a gorgeous flower spray using the new Spellbinders D-Lites Fantastic Flourish One and sprayed it too.

By this time, of course, my fingers are all pink as well!  What fun I had!  Next came the embellishments.

I used some stickers from the Everyday Eclectic paper collection, some beautiful decorative pins, a Mango Madness button and some twine in Pink Sorbet and Lemondrop.  Here are a few closeups for you:

And one more time, here's the full tag:

I hope you've enjoyed your little tour into the wild & crazy world of ink sprays!  Try it for yourself and then please be sure to show us what you've done!

Thanks so much for stopping in!

So Very Thankful (Guest Designer Shannon Sawyer Post)

Hi everyone!  Shannon here again sharing a fall tag I made for the eclectic Paperie blog. It was a lot of fun to make and I plan on attaching it to a gift I've giving someone over Thansgiving.

I used the following products on this tag:
Inkssentials #8 Tag in Manila
Buttons Galore in Kiwi Fruit & Lemon Tart
Twinery in Honey Dew, Lemon Drop and Mandarin Orange (don't those names just sound like Fall?), Maya Road Felt Pearl Posie in Cream.

The paper used was a 6x6 pad by Simple Stories titled "Harvest Lane".  Now I love, love, love Simple Stories paper and in the past I've always used the 12x12 paper from them, but after using this 6x6 pad, I think now I'll be using that size more often. The little quotes and paper embellishments that you can cut out of the Simple Stories paper (that they are known for) is better in the 6x6 pad because it's sized better for a tag or an ATC, and I tend to work in smaller areas.

I cut the background paper for the tag into strips that I wove together. Once it was done I covered it in the Claudine Hellmuth Studio Multi-Medium Gloss so that it would stay together. I used the convenient .5 fl oz size of the Gloss Medium.

Happy Fall Days everyone!!!

Thinking of You

Happy Card Making Day, eP Friends!

I’ve been having fun playing with all the Dylusions Ink Sprays and Dylusions Cling Stamps in my art journal but since today is World Card Making Day, I wanted to share a card which used both in creating my card.

I know that the first thought that pops into heads when mentioning Dylusions Ink Sprays and Dylusions Cling Stamps is art journaling, tags, or mixed media. Which these are wonderful for, however, both the ink sprays and the stamps are wonderful for creating just cards.

As much as I like color, I also love a clean and simple style and lots of white space. I mean, how can one go wrong with that combination, right?  Whenever I can't seem to get a card to come together, this is what I fall back on.

I used the large bird and the flowers from Dylusions How Does Your Garden Grow set, stamped onto watercolor paper with StazOn Jet Black ink.  I spritzed the Dylusions Ink Sprays onto my Non-Stick Craft Mat and using the Tim Holtz Water Brush - Detailer,  colored the images.  For the sky I used the broad nib Tim Holtz Water Brush.  Using a paper towel to pick up any excess ink and to create a bit of texture.  I did this a lot on the sky which really makes the texture of the water color paper come through.

It's personal preference, but when I watercolor I want my projects to look like they were water colored.  Which is why I love the 'un-eveness' for lack of a better word.

The sentiment is from the Big Greetings stamp set from Market Street Stamps.  When I first spotted this set in the shop, I knew I had to get these.  One can never have too many greetings and I love the size of each of the greetings.  They stamp like butter!!!  I used Scotch Foam Mounting Tape to pop the sentiment panel up a bit.

To cover up a 'boo-boo' in the lower left hand corner of the card (which always happens when my project is 99% complete, sigh) I added an orange button from Buttons Galore with twine from The Twinery.

I absolutely love how this card turned out.  I love the vibrant colors achieved by using the Dylusions Ink Sprays and a Water Brush.

Dylusions How Does Your Garden Grow stamp set is a wonderful line art set - perfect for Copics, or any coloring medium you choose.

Back to School

Good Saturday morning to you all!  It's Broni here and today I have a scrappy little card to celebrate "Back to School".  It's definitely in full swing now and I decided to make a card to celebrate!

I stamped my little book bag and star on white cardstock using Memento tuxedo black ink, colored them with my Copic markers, and cut them out.  I used my new WPlus9 Pinking Squares die to cut the Everyday Eclectic patterned paper (Echo Park) for the panel behind the book bag.  The Pink Sorbet and Peapod twines are tied through the eyelet of the Mini Tag Canvas Piece which was painted with a Juniper Adirondack Acrylic paint dabber.

The other layers were cut with either Spellbinders dies or my pinking shears, and the letters and numbers were stamped using the new Ranger Distress Summer Seasonal inks.  I LOVE these colors!  I also added some paper tape and a cute little Kiwi Fruit button, and I stitched around the large white layer before adding all my pieces using either Scor-Tape or Scotch foam mounting tape.

I hope you enjoyed seeing my scrappy card for today!  Thanks so much for dropping in!

Feel Better Soon

Hi everyone, it’s me Tammy and I’ve got a card full of detail to share with you today, using lots of products from the eclectic Paperie store.  I used a new Studio 490 Wendy Vecchi stamp set from Stampers’ Anonymous on this card called “Art is Therapeutic”… it’s a really fun stamp set!  I stamped the flower with Ranger Distress inks in Picked Raspberry and Peeled Paint, then masked it and stamped the medicine label using Brilliance Graphite Black archival ink.  This was all stamped on an Inkssentials #5 Manila Tag, then I distressed the edges and sponged on some Pumice Stone Distress ink.  The papers I used here are from My Mind’s Eye “Honey” 6x6 pad, and I embellished with some Prima Pink Mini Rhinestone Swirls, some Scattered Straw dyed seam binding, a Berrylicious Buttons Galore button, and a lacey die-cut border.  I also added…..

…some Washi tape from the MME “Honey” line across the bottom of the tag.  I thought it was a fun touch, and since this tape has space for dating, I pulled out my trusty old date stamp and added the date that I made the card.  (My stamper is so old though… it only goes to 2007!)

And here’s the inside!  Since the big stamp in the set is like a label from an old medicine bottle, I decided to make this a get well card!

You’ll find links to everything I used on this card by clicking on the bold-face words in the text, so you can just head over to the eP store and pick up your own stamping goodies!

Thanks for stopping by, and happy stamping!
