Another Football Season Over

To say I'm disappointed in the result of yesterday's game is an understatement.

I didn't watch the game.

My heart can't take football, especially if it is our team. But from the first half hour, I knew things weren't going the way we wanted them to.

It's just hard to believe that there will be no more football for 5 months.

Yet games like hockey and baseball seem to go on forever and ever.

But all in all, Pittsburgh had a good year. I'm sure the players got a hefty bonus for getting to the big game, but it sure is a shame they had to blow it.

What a game!

Being the girl that understands nothing about football, I didn't watch on the telly. I kept up with it on Yahoo, where all the Steelers hating trolls lurk.

Oye! What a bunch of haters!

That said the game was tough on the nerves no matter how you were keeping track.

Next week is going to be ugly.

My bet is The Patriots (Boo hiss) will be our opponents.

I hate the Patriots almost as much as I hate the Ravens.

Oh and as far as rivalries are concerned, The Browns my be a rival...but I feel sorry for them more than I hate them.

Sick Of Big Ben

So our asshat, drunken scumbag QB has got a 6 game suspension for his wrongdoings in Georgia. Oh and I don't care if he didn't get charged with anything, the dufus did something that he shouldn't have been doing, the least of it being providing alcohol to someone under the age of 21.

Asshat!

I really think that the guy has lots of problems. Problems that require him getting his drinking in check, so that he doesn't do something that will land him in jail. And while he's getting himself cleaned up and sober, maybe he should learn some respect for women.

Just because you have millions doesn't mean that you can just whoop it out to any drunk girl and tell her "Do whatever you want with it."

Because he might end up with a sadistic sort someday that might just take him up on that and leave the QB singing soprano.

Lordy, its nice to know that alcohol and money make some people think they have the right to do anything.

I hope the Pittsburgh Steelers trade that asshat down the river. I think I've said, I'd rather the team have a losing season then have them in the tabloids over something an idiot has done.

What A Nail Biter

I didn't see the game as yesterday was so full of craziness, but I silently cheered my boys on to victory and god, I'm glad I didn't watch, it would have made me sick to my stomach in that last quarter.

I rejoice for our city and the team. I know its just a game but I'm happy. I'm very happy for coach Mike Tomlin who proved his worth a helluva lot faster than that scary man, Bill Cowher.

Good on you Mike! I'm so proud of you and your guys for pulling it out in the last minute.

I'm glad we told everyone in ICU not to let my dad watch, cos in that last quarter, he would have been calling the Steelers a bunch of bums, and that last touchdown probably wouldn't have happened, cos my daddy is a jinx on the team. Go figure.

But its all about celebrating now! Yay STEELERS!!!!!!

One For The Next Hand!

Well it looks like the Super Bowl is Pittsburgh VS Arizona, with Arizona being the underdog, most likely. However the Steelers shouldn't get their heads swollen. I watched the Arizona/Philly game and they played mean and rough.

If Pittsburgh has any hopes of winning they are going to have to wake up the running backs and the offensive line which seems to not even bother.

(Can you believe this post is coming from me?)

I'm a burgh girl no matter what, and even though watching the games usually gives me anxiety attacks, I'll be rooting the team on and wishing the halftime show didn't suck. Cos yeah, I hate Springsteen.

That said...even though the lyrics need some serious updating.

Oh and Tomlin Power works just as well as Cowher Power.

The Steelers Disappoint

I'm not a huge football fan, but I follow the Steelers. I love it when they win and I get really disgusted when they lose, especially like they did this past weekend.

I swear the whole team is injured, which is something that's been plaguing them since they won the Super Bowl a few years back. It all started with Ben and his bike accident that could likely have killed him if he weren't so lucky.

Yesterday's game made me nervous. They were winning, they were tied and then they lost, all in regulation. I think I could have handled it better if they lost in overtime.

I hope the rest of the season goes a bit better for the guys and I hope some of them actually return to play, because if they don't its going to be another mediocre season for the team and they deserve better. Plus I'd love to see Tomlin get them to the playoffs so early in his career as head coach.

But with the way things are looking right now, that's not going to happen any time soon.
