November 30 - December 6, 2015

This was a crazy week. I went in for a mammogram on Tuesday, was at school from 7 AM to 10 PM on Wednesday, and I've been picking up and driving a friend whose car broke down, so that has added an extra 10 minutes onto my commute every day. To make things worse, I had a call back from the hospital after my mammogram saying that they need me to come back for a closer look. Plus all the students at my school are acting like hyper bunnies because it's that awkward three weeks between Christmas and Thanksgiving. So....I've tried to dress nicer just to make up for the craziness.

October 5 - 11, 2015

This was another busy week. The weather here has been so beautiful that I've just been trying to enjoy it while it lasts.

September 21 - 27, 2015

I couldn't even really think about clothes this week because I was so obsessed with the Volkswagon Beetle Convertible the BHW bought me for my birthday. It just makes me happy when I come out from work and see this car.

August 24-30, 2015

One thing I've discovered about my new classroom is that it is absolutely, positively, freezing cold. The air conditioning is definitely working overtime in there. This is why in my Friday entry I am wearing a sweater with a sweater jacket over it. It just had to happen. I was also wearing wool socks. In August.

April 20-27, 2015

This has been a typical crazy April week with everything from sun to snow and in between. I have 24 more days of school, but who's counting?

March 30 - April 5, 2015

Did I actually get dressed up for General Conference? Of course not. But, if I was that industrious, this would have been a fun outfit to try out. I kept things pretty casual this week. Spring Break is here, hurrah!!

March 9-15, 2015

As a teacher here in Utah, my only hope of a raise with our stingy legislature is a lane change. I got one last year, and I am working to get one again this year. I have been taking lots and lots of extra classes -- I dare say that I am getting worn out. Anyway, this was about all I could work myself up for as far as dressing goes. It's getting so warm here that I may start going without tights soon.

February 16-22, 2015

This has been a fun fashion week for me. Our weather has been crazy warm for February (I'm talking 70 degrees!), but it took a turn for normal Friday night, February 20th, just in time for my brother's band's outdoor rock concert. Hence the mittens and gloves. I wore the casual maxi skirt look for the PFLAG/Affirmation meeting at my house, but I might have needed to ditch the jacket -- it got rather hot in here with 30+ people.

February 10-14, 2015

I wore a lot of red this week, but hey, it's Valentines Day! The BHW and I celebrated by going to see Ann Hampton Calloway perform with the Utah Symphony. It was a really gorgeous musical evening and really put us in the mood, wink, wink!
I went with a more casual Valentines style for my last day of work before Presidents Day. Monday I will get a much needed vacation day.

January 4 - 10, 2015

This was a whirl wind week as usual, going back to school. I tried to stick with basic primary colors.  The purple and yellow skirt set was just the right touch to wake up the week.

This is what I wore to church and double choir practice. Royal Paisley Pencil Skirt, J.Crew via eBay; Purple Cardigan, Dress Your Truth Store; White Ruffle Tank, Talbots; Hue Tights in Purple, Macy's; Jewelry, Chicos; Majesty Peacoat in Golden Sun, J.Crew.

This is what I wore to church today and to the LDS Family Fellowship meeting in the evening. These cobalt boots used to be oily brown, but I painted them cobalt blue (because now that I've got rid of all my brown things, I have nothing to wear them with). I rather like how they turned out. This sweater is the gray merino wool one with the rhinestone neckline that I tried to dye cobalt blue. Instead it came out a rather heathered blue. It went well with the blue of the raj paisley.

Today I went with this rather daring ensemble of purple and orange. Of course the one item of clothing that got the most comment were my purple loafers (that I painted purple instead of gray this summer). I really liked this pairing together -- the purple sweater I have is on the short side, so a lot of the shirt showed at the bottom, but that is the style right now, so all was good. As if this outfit needed any more livening up, I also added a tiger and some bugs.
Denim Skinny Jeans in Red Pepper, Boden; Liberty Print Perfect Shirt in Indian Red Paisley, J.Crew via eBay; Audrey Cashmere Sweater in Eggplant, Talbots; Jewelry, Talbots and Target.
