Moments...MFT July Teasers Day 1 76

Mona Pendleton | Tuesday, July 2, 2013 @ 9:00 PM | , , , , , , ,

Hi and welcome to day 1 of the MFT July Teasers! The new products will be available on Tuesday, July 9th at 10 PM Eastern in the MFT Boutique. This release, just like ALL of MFT's releases is overflowing with fabulous products! Be sure to hop over to the MFT Blog for a list of today's participating designers along with the amazing prize info!

Today I'm super excited to introduce you to my latest stamp set, coordinating dies as well as 1 of 2 stencil designs that are included in this month's release!
Tropical Sensations stamp set.
Die-namics Tropical Sensations which coordinates perfectly with Tropical Sensations:
and the Petal Pattern stencil:
I made a layout featuring a photo of Connor and Meredith that was taken nearly 10 years ago while we were vacationing on Maui.
To create this layout, I first had to stamp my own background paper using Tropical Sensations and the following MFT inks: Banana Split, Electric RedPink Lemonade, Gumdrop Green on Smooth White cardstock.
The Electric Red flowers were just that, so I toned down the page with a think layer of gesso.
To add pretty design and texture to the piece of painted paper from my stash that was made using acrylic paints and the Gelli Arts printing plate, I used the Petal Pattern stencil and
molding paste:
Once I had these papers made, I layered and stitched them on a sheet of paper that was made using the larger Gelli Arts printing plate and various acrylic paints:
Now my layout was ready to embellish with more pretty stamped and die cut Hibiscus blooms and a fun border from Jumbo Mod Borders:
For the title, I stamped a sentiment from Behind the Camera Sentiments on a die cut made using Die-namics Layered Label then layered it on top of a die cut reel that was made using the Die-namics LLD Accent It - Reel Life die.
Thanks so much for visiting - I hope you enjoyed my layout today!

Follow Your Heart... 61

Hi there and welcome to Day 3 of the May MFT Teasers! I hope you are enjoying all the samples provided by the MFT DT thus far! Today I have several cards to share featuring a combination of MFT Life's Direction and Distressed Background Basics stamp sets. The new products will be available on Tuesday, May 7th at 10 PM in the MFT Boutique.

To begin, I first created the colorful papers used on all three cards using the Chicken Wire Stencil and the Graduated Dots Stencil, various paints and the Gelli Arts Printing Plate.

On the first card, I stamped one of the beautiful sentiments from MFT Life's Direction on a die cut made using Die-namics First Place Award Ribbon DIE ONLY. Using the Die-namics Hearts a Plenty, I cut a trio of Kraft cardstock hearts then added texture by sending them through my paper crimper and topped one off with Sno Cone button.
For additional interest, I randomly stamped and heat embossed the checkerboard stamp from Distressed Background Basics.
My next card, features more of my homemade artsy papers and more fun stamps from Life's Direction. I stamped the weathervane using MFT Berrylicious ink on a die cut made using Die-namics LLD Insert It - 3x4 Notepad die along with a sentiment from Life's Direction.
On this card, I randomly stamped and heat embossed the chickenwire stamp from Distressed Background Basics.
Last but not least, is another card featuring yet another beautiful sentiment from Life's Direction which I layered on a die cut label made using Die-namics Heirloom Label.
On this card, I randomly stamped and heat embossed the polkadot stamp from Distressed Background Basics.
Thanks so much for visiting today ~ I hope you enjoyed my trio of cards!
Please be sure to stop by the MFT Blog to see all the beautiful projects that the rest of the team has created. You'll also read about some HUGE prizes being given away this week during Teaser Time that you won't want to miss!
I'll be back tomorrow with more samples to share.

Make a Wish 79

Mona Pendleton | Tuesday, April 30, 2013 @ 9:00 PM | , , , , , , , ,

Happy May! Today kicks off the first day of the May MFT Teasers.  The new products will be available on Tuesday, May  7th at 10 PM in the MFT Boutique. I have an ENORMOUS secret to share with you that I have had to keep a lid on for nearly 3 months!!! Here we go... Kim van der Sanden, the Owner of My Favorite Things has given me the once in a lifetime opportunity to design a line of products for My Favorite Things!!! Words can not even describe how honored, blessed and fortunate I feel! Kim is one of the most kindest and generous souls I've met and is such a pleasure to work for. I could not have done this without all the support, encouragement and patience from Kim, Jody Morrow as well as from my sweet loving husband, Scott. I wouldn't want to count the number of emails, number of hours spent on the telephone with Jody and countless hours that Scott has selflessly devoted to helping me make this happen! xoxo
My product line is: "Mixed Media for the Modern Crafter" and this month I would like to introduce you to my very first versatile MFT products which includes stamps, dies and stencils. ALL may be used for ANY style of stamping / crafting and on ANY type of project ie: cards, layouts, art journal pages, altered items, etc... the possibilites are endless.

Today, I am sharing a few projects made using:

Dandelion Wishes which contains a variety of fun Dandelion images with an artsy / abstract vibe as well as an assortment of versatile sentiments.
Dandelion Stems and Toppers Die-namics which coordinates with Dandelion Wishes or may be used alone:
Distressed Background Blocks is just that, a versatile set of background stamps:
Two of the three stencils that I am introducing this month are: the Square Motif Stencil:
and the Graduated Dots Stencil:
First up, is a layout featuring Dandelion Wishes, Distressed Background Basics and the Square Motif Stencil. I first created the background using the Square Motif Stencil along with Gesso. Once dry, I misted the entire canvas portion of the layout with mist that I made using Kraft ink. Once that was dry, I randomly misted using mists made from a few drops of: Black Licorice, Razzle Berry and Kraft inks. I wanted the Square Motif design to pop a little more so I placed the stencil back on the layout and applied white acrylic paint mixed with molding paste.
I stamped a trio of Dandelions from Dandelion Wishes on die cuts made using dies from Dandelion Stems and Toppers Die-namics. The sentiment is from Dandelion Wishes and was stamped on an oval die cut made using a Die-namics Oval STAX Set 1 die then layered on a label that was made using a Die-namics Designer Labels 2 STAX die.
I randomly stamped the background using the chicken wire stamp from Distressed Background Blocks:
I also have a few cards to share featuring a combination of stamps from both Dandelion Wishes and Distressed Background Blocks along with various dies from Die-namics Blueprints 3 ~ which I LOVE and you will surely be seeing ALOT of over the next week! On my first card, I used the same sentiment as on the layout just to show how easily you can make any sort of project using Dandelion Wishes.
I heat embossed a seeding Dandelion image from Dandelion Wishes:
as well as the checkerboard pattern from Distressed Background Blocks
The second card features more images from Dandelion Wishes and Distressed Background Blocks. The sentiment is from Dandelion Wishes and was stamped on a die cut made using Die-namics
On this card, I heat embossed a blooming dandelion image from Dandelion Wishes
along with the polka dot pattern from Distressed Background Blocks:
Here are my homemade papers that I used to create the cards shown today. I used both the the Graduated Dots Stencil, the Square Motif stencil, the Gelli Arts plate and various colors of Martha Stewart pearls acrylic paint.
Thanks so much for visiting ~ I hope you enjoyed my projects today!

Miss You 39

Mona Pendleton | Sunday, April 28, 2013 @ 11:49 AM | , , , , , ,

Hello! Are you having a good weekend? I sure hope so! Today I have a few projects to share using some fun paper that I made using the Gelli Arts Gel Printing Plate. It makes it so easy to create your own "artsy" looking paper without a whole lot of effort ~ gotta love that ;)
I made this card featuring three die cut hearts that were made using Die-namics LJD Rustic Hearts and my "artsy" papers.
I was inspired by the current Collage Obsession challenge where the theme is Mail Art, to randomly stamp various images from DC First Class Friend on the text paper. I also dry embossed a Kraft cs using a postage themed embossing folder then dry brushed Gesso across to highlight to embossed images.
For me, variety is the spice of my crafting life so I made a little decoration using Die-namics Mini Album Bracket STAX for my sweet sister Tina who has been away working in New Mexico for the past 3 weeks. I'm going to surprise her and hang this somewhere in her kitchen so she finds it when she returns home next week :)
For the card sketch inspiration, I joined along with Freshly Made Sketches:
and for color inspiration for both projects, I joined along with Paperdvizhnik:
Thanks so much for dropping by ~ I hope you have a great day / evening!
Be Sweet ;)
