Tag Class Time... 45

Mona Pendleton | Monday, June 18, 2012 @ 1:25 AM | , , , , ,

Hi there! Hope you all had a great weekend! Scott and I are driving over to San Diego for a few days with Meredith, Connor and Emily, (Connor's GF). We have lots of activities planned such as visiting the San Diego Zoo, Sea World and the Wild Animal Park. I know my feet are going to be screaming, but it will be worth it ;) While there, I also get to visit the sweet ladies at one of my favorite paper crafting stores ~ Paper Tales. I am going to hand deliver the tags that I am sharing in this post today because this will be another class that I will be offering to teach on Friday, July 20th.
We'll be learning how to make lots of our own embellishments, including rolled flowers and die cut chipboard elements.
On another note, sweet Scott surprised me with the beautiful bouquet of Roses shown below in celebration of our Wedding Anniversary :)
Thanks so much for looking ~ hope you have a great day! Be Sweet :)

True Colors... 52

Mona Pendleton | Thursday, June 14, 2012 @ 4:20 PM | , , , ,

Hi there! Hope you are all having a great day! I needed one more birthday card for a sweet GF of mine so I pulled out some of my favorite paper crafting products and this is what I came up with:
It seems as though Hexagons are the latest craze in paper crafting so I jumped on the wagon and indulged in the new Die-namics Haxagon dies! So fun!!! I used the dies to cut various pretty patterned paper from the Pink Paislee London Market collection and finished off the card with an inspirational sentiment from the My Favorite Things Clearly Sentimental about Art set.
For sketch inspiration, I played along with the current My Favorite Things sketch challenge:
On another note, I FINALLY captured a photo of some sweet baby Quails scurrying across my backyard. If you really look, you will see the teensy weensy feathers on top of their head which is a unique characteristic to Quails :)
Thanks so much for visiting! Be Sweet :)

Thank You... 23

Mona Pendleton | Thursday, June 7, 2012 @ 8:13 AM | , , ,

Hi there! Summer break is in full swing here ~ lots of summer camps, vacations and BOTH Connor and Meredith have to have ALL four of their Wisdom teeth pulled in a few weeks! :( This must be the year of having teeth pulled in my home because Jerry had ALL four pulled over Winter break and Scott still had one left that he had to have removed! YIKES! Thankfully, I am happy not to have them :) Doesn't sound like fun to me except for the ice-cream diet but who needs to have teeth pulled for that? :) LOL

Anyways, I am going away soon on summer vacation and my sweet sister Tina will be loving my dogs :) so I made her a Thank You card using pretty products from the Melissa Frances 5th Avenue collection. For the focal image, I used a Spellbinders Classic Circle die to cut a sweet image from the Melissa Frances 5th Avenue Sticker Book then layered it on top of a pretty doily die cut made using a Die-namics/My Favorite Things Dainty Doily die.
I added a dew kissed rolled rose made using a die from Die-namics/My Favorite Things:
For sketch inspiration, I played along with the current My Favorite Things Wednesday Stamp Club sketch:
Thanks so much for visiting ~ hope you have a great day /evening! I will return tomorrow with some fun Pink Paislee projects! Hope to see you then! Be Sweet :)

Happy Birthday... 36

Mona Pendleton | Monday, May 28, 2012 @ 1:15 AM | , ,

Hi there! Hope you are having a great Memorial Day to all those celebrating! Scott and I have returned home from San Diego late Sunday evening. After unpacking and getting settled, I made a rather clean and simple Birthday card for a dear friend who's birthday is right around the corner.
I combined pretty patterned paper from Webster's Pages In Love and Sunday Picnic collections along with a Sizzix cupcake die and MFT stamps and dies. For sketch inspiration, I played along with the current My Favorite Things Wednesday Stamp Club Sketch Challenge:
Thanks so much for visiting! Hope you have a great day/evening depending on what part of the world you are from. Be Sweet :)
