MFT November Die-namics Feature and Pep Rally 45

Mona Pendleton | Monday, November 12, 2012 @ 10:00 PM | , , , , , ,

Now that we've teased and tempted you all week long, it's almost time for you to shop for your favorite Brand Spankin' New products from MFT.
But first... it's time for our Die-namics Feature and Pre-Release Pep Rally!
Our Design Team has been busy creating jaw-dropping and inspiring projects for you, and we've saved the best for last.
We've taken an in-depth look at this month's Die-namics, while re-visiting the amazing sets being released tonight at 10 PM EST RIGHT HERE in the MFT Boutique.

And while we are at it, how about we make your life even easier with a "cheat sheet" of all that's new? Head over to the MFT Blog to print out a shopping list.
For today's project, I chose to focus on the gorgeous Die-namics Poinsettia. I created a layout featuring a photo of my dear daughter Angie that was taken 10 years ago when she was 13 years old. I stamped a sentiment from Seasonal Sentiments using Jellybean Green ink on a die cut label made using Die-namics Vertical Greetings 11
The  Die-namics Poinsettia die set makes such gorgeous detailed blooms. Up close, you can see the embossed vein detail. Layered behind the trio of Poinsettias in the left lower corner are Kraft flourishes made using Die-namics Medium Fancy Flourish along with Die-namics Large Leafy Flourish. In the upper right hand corner, layered behind the Pink Lemonade Poinsettia is a smaller die cut flourish made using Die-namics Leafy Flourish along with a Kraft flourish made using Die-namics Fancy Flourish

I stamped three fun sentiments from LJD Stitched Stockings on a layered die cut made using Die-namics Fishtail Flags Layered STAX along with a die cut made using Die-namics Fishtail Flags STAX.
Shown below are the Die-namics I used on my project today that are included in the November release:

A Pink Paislee Mixed Media Album 35

Mona Pendleton | Thursday, November 8, 2012 @ 7:09 AM | , , , , ,

Hi there! Today it's my turn to post on the Pink Paislee blog. I would love for you to come on over ~ click HERE ~ and say hello :) I have an album to share featuring a combination of awesome products from both the Artisan and Portfolio Collections. I love how these two fun and versatile collections work together so well!
***BEWARE*** LOTS of photos! This project all began with the following products from the Artisan Collection: an Album, Artisan Album Tabs and Artisan Resistable Paper...
If you are not familiar with the Artisan Collection, it is colorless which allows you to create a customized project choosing the colors you desire! How fun is that? I used the following heidi swapp Color Shine spritzes: Black Velvet, Tinsel, Mint Green, Amethyst, and Tropicana Teal. After spritzing the covers, inside and out, the pages, the scallop ribbon, and a variety of resistable embellishments, I stitched the pages together, then embellished away!
I fastened a photo tab to each page, added a photogram featuring a photo of sweet Meredith to each... I love the contrast of black and cream with the Mint Green, Amethyst, and Tropicana Teal
The Artisan Collection has a great selection of Chipboard embellishments, truly something for everyone! The page shown below features an Artisan Chipboard Heart:
Lots of hearts shown below! Another Chipboard Heart, a die cut heart made using pretty patterned paper from the Portfolio collection and a heart from the Portfolio Ephemera pack:
a trio of Chipboard Stars along with a sweet butterfly from the Artisan Wings pack:
Thanks so much for visiting! I would be tickled pink if you hopped on over to the Pink Paislee blog to say hello :) I hope you enjoyed my album as much as I enjoyed creating it!
Be Sweet :)

Just You...OUAS November 56

Mona Pendleton | Wednesday, October 31, 2012 @ 7:05 PM | , , , , , ,

Hi there! I can't believe it is only hours away from November 1st! That means it's time for an all new Once Upon A Sketch Challenge! Here's the fun sketch we will be playing with all month long and the theme is "ANYTHING GOES" which means the theme of your choice but remember, you MUST include journaling somewhere on your layout.
This layout is all about sweet 22 year old daughter Angie. Being completely honest here, I'm not a big fan of all her tattoos or the fact that she opted out of attending college for now. I try to keep an open mind and remind myself that she is chasing her dreams and is healthy. Angie is a crazy talented artist and of course, I would love to see her pursue that career but she opted to turn her bicycle riding hobby into a job for now. She is currently riding professionally on an International competitive team and is sponsored by various companies. You can read about her here: BMX Transworld. When Angie decides she is through with bike riding, I hope she enrolls in college. After all, she is only 22. I returned to college for 5 years when I was 25 so it's never to late and hopefully she will do the same :)
To create this layout, I started with a piece of Pink Paislee's Portfolio - Remarkable patterned paper. For some texture, I applied Gesso to a stencil then added color using heidi swapp Color shine Mustard
Once the background was dry, I added lots of spritzed manufactured white paper flowers using the following heidi swapp Color shine spritzes: Primrose, Georgia Peach, Sweet CherryMustard, Black Velvet and Tinsel. The white pretty doilies peeking out are Elements from the Pink Paislee Artisan Collection:
Thanks so much for visiting! For some AMAZING International inspiration and complete details, please refer to the Once Upon A Sketch Challenge blog.
Be Sweet :)

Ir-resist-able day with Pink Paislee... 44

Mona Pendleton | Thursday, September 27, 2012 @ 4:00 AM | , ,

Hi there! I'm so excited to share a project that I made for my Pink Paislee DT assignment on the Pink Paislee blog featuring the beautiful and versatile Pink Paislee Artisan Collection along with several vibrant colors of the heidi swapp Color shine Spritz.
One of the MANY things I love about the new Artisan Collection is that it COMPLETELY color customizable to suit your needs! All it takes is a few pumps of heidi swapp Color shine Spritz and you instantly have a coordinated piece for your project!

I combined MANY pretty products from the Artisan Collection along with the several heidi swapp Color shine Spritz colors to create this shadow box keepsake.
Starting at the very top, is a trio of Resistable Butterflies. The delicate little flower embellishment that is on the middle butterfly is from the Wings pack of embellishments:
The first embellished panel in the upper right hand corner features Resistable - Hearts that I colored using Amethyst and Tropicana Teal Color shine spritz, a pretty Artisan Flowers embellishment and the word "love" from Words Cherish that was colored using Black Velvet Color shine spritz.
The middle panel features more Resistable - Hearts along with a sweet butterfly from the Wings pack of embellishments and the word "cherish" from the Words Cherish pack:
The last embellished panel in the lower right hand corner features a trio of beautiful blossoms from the Flowers pack along with a butterfly from Resistable Butterflies and the word  "sweet" from Words Cherish:
Each panel features a different piece of pretty patterned paper from the Artisan Collection - Resistable - 8x8 Paper Pack that was colored using heidi swapp Color shine Spritz color and pretty little Photo Corners. Also, note the decorative four corners featuring fancy embellishments from the Elements Circles pack.
Prior to spritzing and assembling, I photographed the shadow box to share with you what it looked like before adding all the pretty colors:
Thanks so much for visiting today! I hope you like my project featuring all these fun and beautiful products from the Pink Paislee Artisan Collection as well as the heidi swapp Color shine Spritz. Be sure to visit the Pink Paislee blog for further Ir-resist-able inspiration :)
Be Sweet :)
