Eclectic Ellapu "Pink Team - Vintage Christmas"

Good morning all.

This is my second post today, you can find my DT inspiration for Imagination Crafts here.

My first post this morning for the Pink Team at Eclectic Ellapu where May has chosen the theme of "Vintage Christmas".

I've chosen to make a tag which took me totally out of my comfort zone....and I loved every minute of it!!

Tag base is cut from burgundy Kraft Core card stock then embossed with a Cuttlebug snowflake folder. This was then sanded to reveal the kraft core and I used my distress tool round the edges then inked with vintage photo, faded jeans and pine needles distress inks and sprayed with gold Cosmic Shimmer. Image is from Anita Stamp's stamped onto kraft card with vintage photo, layered onto the burgundy Kraft Core. The dies have all been cut from waste card then either inked with distress ink and sprayed with gold cosmic shimmer or the gold ones have been inked with versamark and I've used gold metal magic to coat them...I love how they turned out and must make more use of this stuff. I also used the metal magic around the edges. Snowflakes and ovals are all from Spellbinders, sentiment is from Tattered Lace. Lace is from Crafty Ribbons. Recycled ribbon, holly and gem are from my stash.

I love how this turned out and think I may have to use it for hubby so I can keep it afterwards.

Crafting for all Seasons #73 "No Designer Papers"

Good morning all.

The week can only get better...had a four hour round trip to St Andrews on Monday as second son Mark had an interview at the university....all of 20 minutes!! Yesterday it was a three and a half hour round trip to take the kids to see my father in law for the last time. Unfortunately he's losing his battle with the big C and has been moved to the palliative care ward. It was a heartbreaking visit, especially for Mark but it had to be done and he wanted to go. Gary knew before he went out to NZ that he probably wouldn't see him again but he's finding it difficult and I think he'll come home. Meanwhile we can only wait and pray that the end is a peaceful one. So I know you'll forgive me if I'm not around much for the foreseeable future.

It's time for our next challenge at CFAS and this time the theme is "No Designer Papers". We're  looking forward to seeing all your makes. We're being sponsored by Kenny K who gave the DT images to work with.

I've used Present Surprise and coloured with promarkers before die cutting with a shaped die from Spellbinders. Backing card is Kraft Core which I've embossed with a folder from Die'sire before sanding and inking with DI. Card is finished with some ribbon and twine from my stash.

Do pop over to the challenge blog to see the rest of the girls inspiration, you won't be disappointed.

Whoopsi Daisy - Circles on your Card

Good morning all. Yesterday was looking a bit hit and miss weather wise so we decided to stay at home for the day, typically by teatime it was gloriously sunny! We did enjoy a good bracing evening walk with the dog after dinner though which should have counteracted the home made by hubby carrot cake I had for pud!

It's time for another challenge at  Whoopsi Daisy  and this week the theme is "Circles" or you can do Anything Goes if you use a Whoopsi Daisy image on your project.

I've used a topper and paper from the Daisy and Friends CD. Dies from Spellbinders. Buttons from Crafty Ribbons and Papermania. Ribbon, sentiment and gems from my stash.

Do pop over to the challenge blog to see the inspiration from the rest of the team and remember if you use a Whoopsi Daisy image you could win 2 image sheets, 1 sheet will be awarded to a winner using any other image.

Challenges entered:
Paper Creators Crafts - all about spots
Paper Pretties - happy birthday
Inky Chicks - happy birthday girl
Card and Scrap - use dies
Love to Scrap - diecuts/punches

Enjoy your day whatever you're up to!!

Good morning all.
Managed to get some more DT work done yesterday after supervising DD cleaning her bedroom out! I've still got loads of cards to do for the next few months though.

A card for a male to share with you today, this will go to my eldest in June.

Decoupage image is a Wellington Bear layered on a nestie cut from Kraft. Backing is the new Tim Holz Kraft Core which I've embossed with one of my new Die'sire folders and then sanded. Charm from Meiflower. Twine, sentiments and buttons from my stash.

Creative Moments - animals
Paper Shelter - anything goes
Creative Card Crew - masculine
Creative Creations - things beginning with B (bear, beer, bow, buttons, brown)
