Christmas Card Club - "Nativity"

Good morning all.

Mary set the very traditional theme of "Nativity" for our Christmas Card Club project this time. A quick scout through some decoupage folders on the computer and I came across this cute little image from Cuddly Buddly.

Nothing else was really needed except the base card!

If you'd like to see what the other girls made you'll find their links in my sidebar.

Friendly Snowmen!

Good morning all. Friday the 13th EEK...think I'll stay home and hibernate today!
I had a very superstitious Dad...if something could go wrong on the 13th it did! I still don't cross my knife and fork, walk under a ladder or cross on the stairs!!

A lovely sunny day here yesterday, it was nice to have a warm house without having the heating on all day. I had a busy day in the kitchen...where nothing went right and no one enjoyed their tea...today can only be better! Did have time for a little play and you'll see the results in a day or two.

As it's Friday again I'm joining Erika at Snappy Crafts to share a golden oldie today.

Christmas 2007 and a gorgeous Cuddly Buddly image from the Friendly Snowmen set which I've decoupaged. This was an 8x8 card. Decoupage was my first love...in those days the only stamping I was good at was with my feet!
Note the angle on the sentiment...I learned very quickly to do it this way so as not to ruin a card at the last minute with some crooked stamping!

Celebrate

Good morning all.

I made some headway with the Christmas cleaning yesterday and hubby is shampooing the sitting room carpet today so we might get the decorations up in time for the big day! On the wedding front I only need to cut and stick two tables worth of place names and put the table plan together...I managed to get the rest done last night.

The wedding takes place today, they've been together for 18 years. They've gone to York to do the deed with my niece and her husband acting as witnesses. They're hosting a party for the rest of us on Saturday after they get home.

Here is the card I have made her.

Decoupaged image is from Cuddly Buddly. Backing paper is from Prima. Dies are from Spellbinders. Punch from Martha Stewart. Sentiment from LOTV. Ribbon, charm and pearls from my stash.

50th Birthday

Good morning all. Hope everyone is well.

We had a lovely relaxed lunch yesterday, luckily hubby doesn't drink so I enjoyed some rose wine and champers with mine!  The menu was just a three course lunch with three choices per course and looked like it might be a bit rich for a dicky stomach but what I ordered was delicious and as it was just small portions so not overly filling.

This is the card I made for the birthday girl.

Decoupage image and the layered paper are from Cuddly Buddly; dies from Spellbinders and Marianne Design; lace, button, felt, sentiment, peel off, charm and card candy from my stash. Card candy has been topped with some green stickles. Apologies about the colours, my greens are a bit off!!

Less is More - colour of your eyes

Well I'm glad to see the back of last week! Mum is doing fine and luckily has no lasting ill effects from the mini-stroke. She now has medication which will hopefully prevent any further problems. It's lovely having her here as I never get to see enough of her usually but gosh it does eat into your crafting time lol My youngest sister and niece came visiting today too so didn't have a minute until after a late dinner.

Anyway onto LIM and oh heck who thought this one up!!! My eyes are hazel coloured and the only thought I've had so far is a tree!

I had downloaded this tree from Cuddly Buddly before the visitors arrived and managed to get it printed out onto pearlised card stock. Tonight I coloured it with brown and green promarkers, stamped a sentiment in versacolour sepia brown and added some browny/green gems. Not sure I like the finished card though, it seems to lack something!
