Christmas Tag

It's been a gorgeous day today, more like spring approaching than winter. I've spent the day dust busting and my there was plenty of dust to bust! Some more progress in the kitchen, we now have all the work tops and up stands in position and the plumbing is finished. Hopefully the electrician will get all his bits done tomorrow and I can start moving stuff back in. Still full of cold though so shattered tonight.
I made this tag yesterday:

Tag has been embossed with a music embossing folder then distressed with bundled sage and fired brick DI. Christmas tree die has been put through an embossing folder then distressed with bundled sage and shabby shutters DI. Image is from Joanna Sheen's Enchanted Christmas CD printed onto acetate and cut with a nestie then mounted onto a scalloped nestie oval which had been distressed with bundled sage and fired brick DI. The stiff lace, tartan ribbon and the gold metallic beaded rope are all from Costco. Tag is finished with a Christmas tree button stitched to the bow, some red stickles, a  sentiment and a pearl.

Charisma Cards - lace and pearls
CHNC - music
Just Some Lines - tic tac toe (embossing, tag, glitter)

Christmas Card Club

Well I'm now officially 50 (I have the balloon to prove it!) and loving it :) Been thoroughly spoilt all day, loads of cards and presents rounded off by a champagne afternoon tea at Greywalls (local hotel with a Chez Roux restaurant). Had a very enjoyable meal last night with family - good food, good wine and much loved company!

It was Sally's turn to choose the topic this time over at the Christmas Club and she wanted to see Father Christmas on our cards. I got this made yesterday but ran out of time to finish and post it so here goes:

Using some wonderful vintage decoupage from Joanna Sheen which I bought in a sale at least two and a half years ago and this is only the first or second one I've made (hides head in shame!!). The backing paper is from Joanna's Enchanted Christmas CD but was already printed and sitting in my bit box. The ribbon is recycled from a gift, the bauble beads recycled from crackers, the glittery poinsettias came from Lakeland eons ago (think they were a BOGOF) and the wooden sentiment was bought at a craft show at least three years ago! I've used red and blue card for matting an layering, some of which came from my bit box.
You can see what the other girls made for this fun challenge by clicking the links in my sidebar and if you'd like to join us just contact one us and we'll give you all the info.

Quick Christmas card

Again I used an image and backing paper from my bit box (they are from one of Joanna Sheens Christmas CDs probably Enchanted Christmas). I have followed the sketch at Christmas Card Challenges. Card is finished with some adhesive ribbon and a Crafty Bitz star.
