Valentine Treat Bag by Debbie Brownmiller

3:30 AM 1 Comments
Hi there. It's Debbie with you today from Debbie's Time Out. With Valentines Day just around the corner I thought I would share a treat bag I created featuring the new Pop Up Hearts.

I started by cutting the Pop Up Hearts and then stapling it to a clear zip-loc bag. I layered some fancy hearts from the Heart to Heart Doily and the Two Of Hearts  behind the Pop-Up Hearts. I layered the Be Mine Teddy Bear  on top of the Pop-Up Hearts. I placed some of the Sweetheart Candy onto the bag. Most of these dies were inked up with distress inks for color.  I slipped a piece of printed paper inside the bag for more decoration. This is the perfect treat bag for putting a few valentine chocolates in. This new Pop-Up Hearts dies will make a beautiful card too or maybe even use it for a tag topper.

Thanks for visiting the blog today and for the comments you leave. I hope you take the time to create some valentines cards. I will be posting a cute man's valentine card on my next post so keep watching for it.

All Occasion Spring Card by Cherry Nelson

4:30 AM 2 Comments
Hi Cheery Lynn peeps! Cherry here on the blog.  I have a simple but I think elegant card for you today.
I started with my background die using the fionas magic mirror die.  This is a beautiful die and a classic start to any card.  I then wrapped my ribbon around the card and tied my bow.  From here I added the Happy Halloween Twiggy Wreath Die.  I thought with the little bird it looked very Springy.  Not just for Halloween!
From there I added the Two of Hearts Die and layered it with the Gardenia strip five piece die set along with the Medium Rose strip 7 piece die set.  Other than that I added a few pearls and I was done!

Thanks for visiting the Cheery Lynn Blog!  Cherry

Love with Lisa Blastick

3:30 AM 2 Comments

Hi! Welcome back to my latest card for Cheery Lynn Designs
Do you feel the Love in the air? Well it's almost Valentine's Day and I'm hoping you have someone special in your life to spend the day or evening with...a loved one, a child, or even your pet.

I used 4 different dies to make this card. I was thinking distressed edges with stitching would look kind of cool. So I sewed the rectangles and the squares. The banner is one of my all time favorites and the hearts are super detailed...had to do three. Stamped in red ink are the sentiment and the hearts. A bit of bling and ta da! Done!

Thanks for stopping by today!
Have a great day and weekend!

Garden Of Love Valentine by Laurie Schmidt

3:30 AM 2 Comments
Hi everyone!

Laurie here sharing my first card today as a designer for Cheery Lynn. I'm so excited and happy to join this awesome team of designers for such a great company!

I decided to get started on some Valentines, and Cheery Lynn has some gorgeous dies to choose from! I started out with the Garden of Love, so pretty and intricate.
I cut off the word love, and used just the heart and swirls.
Then I added both of the Two of Hearts, and in the center adhered one Sweetheart Candy. That set comes with 8 candy hearts, each with a different saying. I have lots of plans for those cute hearts...they are SO adorable!!
I backed it all on a Celtic Rectangle Boutique Stacker. The sentiment is from the Love Gift Envelope set, which has 4 tiny sentiments that fit well on so many cards.

I added some tiny pearls to finish the card.

Celebrate Love with Jenny Alia

3:30 AM 1 Comments

Hi and Happy Valentine's Day!   It's Jenny here with a new card.  I've been itching to use these Fancy Pots on a project so I thought I'd create a garden scene and tie it into Valentine's.  This card could really be used for any occasion.

I began by roughing up the edges of my design paper and gluing it to a 5.5" square card.  Then I cut and colored the fancy pots.  I rubbed a bit of metallic paint with my finger over the pots.  All the little details really stand out once they are colored with ink.  I glued the pots to different color paper backings and then cut around the edges.

The pink flowers were made with the Sweet Christine die and the yellow ones were cut with the Embellishment #2 die.  The foliage is a mix of the Ivy Strip and Flourish #13 dies.  I added Dandelions, and glued pearls and rhinestones to the centers of the flowers.

The pots are sitting on the Nautical Wheeler Doily die (one of my all time favorites!).  I added the Horizon Fishtail Banner with some twine tied around it, two small hearts from the Two of Hearts set and the Celebrate word to finish off the card.

Love Mini Book by Jenny Alia

3:30 AM 5 Comments

Hi, it's Jenny posting on my first Sunday.  With the changes in the Cheery Lynn challenge (you now have two weeks to enter and can enter up to two projects!) my posting day has also changed.   I was inspired by the current Tickled Pink challenge and my pink-loving daughter who wants me to make little books for all her equally pink-loving friends for Valentine's day.

I started with the mini book die and pink design paper.  You don't need many dies or embellishments with this die because the book is pretty small.  It's perfect for a purse brag book, mini coloring book or note pad.

The center rectangle is one of the smaller dies in the Fleur de Lis Boutique Stacker A2 Frame set.  The heart is from the Two of Hearts set, the green side accents are from the new Quadrafoil Accents die set and the butterfly is from the Small Exotic Butterflies #1 set.

Amlost everything was colored with distress ink and I also added stickles on the heart and butterfly wings for sparkle.  I tied the book together using thin twine and glued pearls to the accents and green-yellow rhinestones to the butterfly.

Thanks for visiting and I hope this inspires you to try your own mini book.  Make sure to join in the In Tickled Pink Challenge for a chance to win $20 towards shopping at Cheery Lynn Designs.

With Love from Cupid by Julie Lavalette

3:30 AM 3 Comments

Hi everyone, lovely to have you stop by. It's JULIE here today and I'm sharing some inspiration using the adorable newly released Cupid die.

I started by die cutting out my layers from patterned cardstock, tattering at the edges and adding a little Distress Ink. My frame I cut out an aperture using my square stackers to create a window effect, I then glued on my Scandinavian Heart frame. I placed lace around the centre of my frame and added lots of pearls, mounting onto my card.

My 'Love You' was also shaded with Distress Ink and mounted onto my tattered square frame adding a touch of cheesecloth and finishing with a few more pearls.

My Cupid was shaded with Distress Inks....isn't he so cute !

I mounted my Tea Rose onto my Heart as an extra finishing touch.

"Forever" with Lisa Blastick

3:30 AM 1 Comments

Hi everyone! It's Lisa back today sharing with you a new card for the New Year 2016 with Cheery Lynn Designs ! This week's challenge is "Winter Whites" and I chose to make a wedding card using the "Wrought Iron Window" as my focal point. I then typed the sentiment on the computer and die cut with "Royal Scandinavian Tag 2" It is on one side of the window so it gives the appearance of the window opening up.

The background of white cardstock was embossed with "Old Parchment". I placed some sheer ribbon on top with "Flourish Leaf Strip" It's one of my favorite dies. I then placed 2 of the smallest "Two of Hearts" on each side of the window to complete this wedding card.

Be sure to check out this week's challenge "Winter Whites" for your chance to win $20 at the Cheery Lynn Designs Store.

G'Day Love With Lisa Blastick

3:30 AM 1 Comments

G'Day Love!
It's Lisa back this week with another New Release Diecut from Cheery Lynn Designs!
 It's Kaptain Kangaroo!
The name of the diecut takes me back to my child time. I remember watching Captain Kangaroo on Saturday mornings. Such a great memory and blast from the past. When I was thinking about what I wanted to make with him, I thought about so many different backgrounds. Suddenly, I thought of one of my favorite movies from years ago, Crocodile Dundee and his love for his country. It then became about love and hearts. I used two of the smaller and one of the largest heart from Two of Hearts. I diecut it in red and Kraft paper and cut the inside of the red out and placed it on top of the Kraft paper. I stamped Love on the bottom corner heart and added little white dots on the edges.

There are two Ivy Corner Flourishes in opposite corners and in the center behind the Kangaroo is a Priscilla Doily. Love it! Last but not least I added little flowers from Miniature Rose with little pearls in the centers.

I cut the Kaptain Kangaroo out once in Kraft and one in red cardstock. I used the G'day for the inside and I used white cardstock for his ears and black cardsock for his eyes and colored his nose with a black copic.

Masculine Valentine with Rhonda

3:30 AM 5 Comments
Happy Monday to you!  It's Rhonda here today to host the blog and share my project with you.

I thought it would be fun to play along with our challenge theme for this week "Sweethearts - (Add a Heart)" and created a masculine themed valentine card.

"XO" (A2 Sized Card)

I started with the Dutch Daisy Boutique Stacker cut from white cardstock, then used the A2 Frames Rectangular Scalloped cut from kraft card stock for my next layer. Then, I used the A2 Frames Rectangular Classic and cut it from white cardstock to alternate my color scheme.

Using the rectangle cut, I then cut the pretty intricate Dutch Daisy Boutique Stacker by adhering the die to the center with some Washi Tape. You can see the result below.

For my center cluster, I cut one Celtic Heart from kraft card stock, then using a pencil, lightly outlined the shape on white card stock. I trimmed and backed the design with white card stock, then adhered with foam dimensional adhesive.

Next, the smaller of the Two of Hearts was cut from kraft card stock and adhered with dimensional adhesive as well. I thought it would be pretty to cut one of the delicate Arrows and tuck it into the top heart.

I added the ribbon and branches to the top, then finished by adding pearls to the corners and to the heart along with my XO sentiment.

Cheery Lynn Designs Dies Used:
Dutch Daisy Boutique Stacker A2 Frame - DL293

Forever Card

3:30 AM 2 Comments
Hello!

Corina here, for the Friday blog post! I thought I would share with you a Wedding themed card. I believe that this card could also be given as an Anniversary Card.

I love using inks and sprays to create my colour palette. I decided to spray the medium doily (Lilith Doily) with homemade glimmer mist in Black Pearl and the Butterfly (Small Exotic Butterflies #1) with Silver Onyx. The heart (Two Of Hearts) was sprayed with Cherry Pie Dylusions. The POP of red on the beautiful heart doily is perfect!

Layering with Cheery Lynn Dies is easy and simple. The hardest choice is colour! So let your imagination take over and see where it takes you!

Have a great weekend and remember to Create!

Dies used:
Mega Fanciful Flourish - B167
Small Gardenia - B433
Gardenia Strip - B339
Medium Rose - B154

Two Of Hearts - DL128
Lilith Doily w/ Angel Wing - DL263
Small Exotic Butterflies #1 w/Angel Wings - DL112AB

Spring Friend Card

3:30 AM 5 Comments

Hello Everyone!

Corina here for the my last week as March Guest Designer! Time flew by so quickly! In this last week I travelled south to Vancouver BC, where Spring has sprung! Only to return home to a winter Storm and more snow! So this week, my inspiration came from the few days I spent in "Spring"!

I thought that I would share a picture of my work process when I made this card. I started off with white cardstock for my die cuts (except for Friend, I knew I wanted the sentiment dark!). I  proceed by arranging the die cuts to form my scene. From there, I painted, spritzed, glittered, coloured and inked to create my chosen colour palette.

The finished card is always a little different from my concept at the beginning! But that is okay! I always enjoy my creative journey with each and every craft project I do!

Judy's Blooms - C184
Ivy Strip - B304
Baby's Breath Flower Kit (Set of 3) - B364
Small Exotic Butterflies #1 w/Angel Wings - DL112AB
Japanese Garden Lace Oval with Angel Wing - DL136AB
Tiny Things with Wings - B266
Expandable Tiny Borders - B215

Thank you for sharing this last month with me, I appreciate every comment that was left and had a wonderful time! Also a huge Thank You to BJ & Sandy for giving me this opportunity to share my passion with all of you!

Hope you enjoyed!

Lucky Shamrock card

5:00 AM 2 Comments

Happy Tuesday everyone! leslierahye here and I'm getting ready for St. Patrick's Day. I created this festive square card by die cutting 4 each of the Two of Hearts dies and layering them to create petals on my four-leafed clover. Next I arranged them on a hex-shaped background--I placed my shapes using the frame as a gluing template. The flourish acts as a stem for my lucky four-leafed clover! I added some clear Wink of Stella to the top hearts for a bit of sparkle.

Mother's Kittens *GDT Cheery Lynn Designs*

3:30 AM 7 Comments
We want to thank Lisa for designing for us this month, it has been wonderful watching you create with Cheery Lynn Designs dies.  Please leave her a comment to let her know she is appreciated.

Hello, It's Lisa with this week's card for Cheery Lynn Designs. I can't believe it is the end of the month already and my guest designing has already come to an end...wish it could last longer...although I'm sure there are lots of ladies wanting to guest design too...good luck to you all! So here is my card that was inspired from this week's challenge...Mother's Day! I chose a mother cat and kittens because my mother LOVES cats and so this reminds me of her so much. In fact, this image also has 3 kittens and well, that is exactly like me and my two siblings. Love you mother!

I chose cream, white, pink and kraft for my color theme. My mother loves pinks and vintage so with all Cheery Lynn Die cuts this made this card perfect for her. I used 6 die cuts on this card:

I really love the miniature roses. They are super small and now I don't need to by those tiny roses anymore :) now I can make my own....love it. Remember a couple of weeks ago I mention getting more die cuts at the local convention??? Well, that is something I did. Besides getting the miniature roses, I also purchased the flourish leaf strip and a birdcage. I'm so excited to use some of them today and I will be using them more in the near future :)

Well, thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoyed my Mother's Day card made with all the wonderful Cheery Lynn Designs Die cuts. I sure hope my mother loves it too! Have a wonderful Mother's Day!
Hugs, Lisa

Spring Makes the Heart Sing *GDT Cheery Lynn Designs*

3:30 AM 3 Comments
Good Morning, It's Lisa back again...
Hi...so is everyone ready for spring already? Spring here in Arizona starts really in March where lots of parts of the country are still very cold....However, it's later April and I'm sure it has to be finally getting nice for everyone. :) So today, I'm sharing with you a card made for Cheery Lynn Designs inspired by this week's challenge to use purple. I don't use purple a lot but I really like how this card came out using lots of Cheery Lynn Diecuts. They really are addicting! lol

Here is a closer view...I decided to use up some of my old prima flowers..you know the ones you mostly used and then have a few stragglers around? Well, here they are being used to enhance the intricate diecuts. The heart sentiment was printed on the computer with "scriptina" & "new times" I love pre-made sentiment stamps but I can never find the right size that I want for cards? So I just find it easier to make them myself. :)

As you can see this card is not as bulky as some of my cards which makes it a great card to mail. The beautiful stamped image is from Heartfelt Creations...it is 2 different stamp sets "busy bee" & "antique essentials". I colored them with prismacolor pencils and added tiny pearls.
I used 5 diecuts from Cheery Lynn Designs:

Thanks for popping in to see my purple card!
Hope spring is there soon and it makes your heart sing too!
Have a great day!
Hugs, Lisa

I'm Thinking Spring

3:30 AM 8 Comments
Think Spring, Think Spring, I figure if enough of us think that........it may happen, or is it just wishful thinking! Half the UK is still getting snow.
Anyway here I am today with my card for the Cheery Lynn Designs Inspiration Blog, and I decided to follow the theme of "Spring"
I don't often make purple cards, but it just suited this image of Finding a Crocus, I remember the days when we used to go looking for the first crocus of the year when I was a child.
I started off cutting out the image with one of the smaller circles from the Large Circle Stackers, then I cut out a bigger circle just using the outer edge of the backing. I laid this on top of the Ankara doily, using the Angel wing as the backing.
To create the flowers I've used the middle flower section from the Manon Wedding Garland die, then created a daisy using the middle and smaller bits from the Daisy Strip. I created a smaller daisy using the Darling Daisies, and a tiny rose using the miniature rose die. I've added the mini fanciful flourish and the olive branch die, and the biggest of the two hearts from the Two Hearts die. And look at that gorgeous Chicken Wire behind the image, I love the effect it adds to a card or a layout.
