Cheery Lynn Just Married

12:30 AM 0 Comments

Hi everyone! Laurie here from Stamping Up North. I don't know about you, but we sure have had lots of weddings to go to this summer. And I've been having fun making wedding cards with my Cheery Lynn dies!

For this card, I started out with some patterned paper. The cars on it reminded me of Cheery Lynn's Classic Car. I cut it out in white, pink and silver shimmer paper. I added some pearls  and stamped the sentiment on the licence plate.

I cut out the bride and groom from the Wedding Vow die set and adhered them inside the car.

What a cute couple..lol!

I adhered the car onto a Heart to Heart Doily cut out in black and pink. I even used some of the tiny pink hearts that fell out of the doily to adhere on the card too!

Special Day with Laurie Schmidt

12:30 AM 1 Comments

Hi everyone!
Laurie here from Stamping Up North sharing a wedding card today. I have a thing for purple lately, and just love how pretty and fresh it looks with white. So...I decided to use this combo for a wedding card.

I started out with the beautiful Fiona's Magic Mirror.

I think it's such an elegant die, and it gave a perfect background space for my triple layer wedding cake and stamped sentiment.

I decorated the cake with some tiny flowers from the Mandy Doily, and the bow from the Christmas Wreath:

Wedding Cheers from Laurie Schmidt

12:30 AM 1 Comments
Laurie here from Stamping Up North sharing a wedding card with you today. I love going to weddings! My favorite part is the reception and listening to all of the toasts. Some are so funny, and some of course are real tear jerkers! Either way, they are always fun and so special.

I decided to use the glasses from the Celebration die set on my "Cheers" wedding card. (The set also comes with an awesome wine bottle too.) I added some tiny flowers from the Mandy Doily die, and  the tiny fanciful flourish to decorate the glass stems. The cake set has 6 pieces, and is very versatile....it can be used for birthdays or any occasion. I added a bow from the Christmas Wreath set to decorate the cake. I backed it all on a nesting doll oval, adhering some pearls here and there.

Then I added "Cheers!"

Wedding Card by Chrissy Mac

Hello everyone.  I wanted to share with you all a wedding card featuring some wonderful classic die cuts using my Cheery Lynn Designs dies.  This lovely wedding couple is a must have in your craft tool kit as you just never know who might be getting married next.  This was actually inspired by a lovely woman named Eudora who was marrying her true love and wanted a keepsake card for the occasion.  Inside I placed a lovely picture of Eudora and her new hubby.

Weddings make me think of elegance, promises, memories and sometimes decadence.  The occasion is so often attended by family and friends all dressed in their very finest no matter the culture, religion or location.  Such thoughts surrounding making this card had me wanting to combine the classic elegance of cream with the metallic luster of silver.  For color I added various rustic warm peach and tans.  Almost makes you want to eat it, huh?  Oh yeah...we are talking about making a card...uh hum.  Anyways...

This card consists of 7 layers:  the base card in heavy cream color, a lovely peach and cream metallic
patterned paper, a heavy silver, a light brushed gold and a warm peachy brown.  I used 8 unique dies and a metal embossing plate from my Cheery Lynn Designs collection which included stacker frames, doilies, flowers, the wedding couple and I just had to use the "True Love" sweetheart candy die.  See my complete die list below.

Can you guess what on this card was a silly little secret crafty move?

No?  Well...okay then... I used reddish-pink sparkle nail polish on the embossed silver, the flower and the True Love heart for that extra "blingy bling bling"!  After all, weddings always have some sparkle right?

The Cheery Lynn Designs dies and die sets I used are as follows:

Thanks so much for joining me today.  I'll share more soon.  If you have any questions on how this was made, please don't hesitate to ask.  I read every comment and answer every question.

Wishing you peace and joy!

Wedding Memories by Julie Lavalette

3:30 AM 3 Comments

Hello fellow bloggers, I hope you are having a lovely weekend creating. It's JULIE here today and I am sharing my Wedding Memory card that would look equally as good in a Scrapbook layout using the larger die in this Film Set collection.

I started off using my Stacker dies for my layered background. Next my heart was heat embossed with an Aged Bronze and I cut it in half to layer on and extend its size so it fitted perfectly as a background accent.

My black paper accents were made using a section from Sophia's Heart Border. On top of this I added 2 torn layers of paper which I heat embossed with Aged Bronze at the edges to compliment my heart.

My Film Set die I placed over my images and die cut to obtain the perfect size to reinsert into my frames. I heat embossed my images with Clear powder to look like a glossy photo.
Thanks so much for stopping by today and I do hope you get a chance to join in our new challenge which is Anything Goes

"Forever" with Lisa Blastick

3:30 AM 1 Comments

Hi everyone! It's Lisa back today sharing with you a new card for the New Year 2016 with Cheery Lynn Designs ! This week's challenge is "Winter Whites" and I chose to make a wedding card using the "Wrought Iron Window" as my focal point. I then typed the sentiment on the computer and die cut with "Royal Scandinavian Tag 2" It is on one side of the window so it gives the appearance of the window opening up.

The background of white cardstock was embossed with "Old Parchment". I placed some sheer ribbon on top with "Flourish Leaf Strip" It's one of my favorite dies. I then placed 2 of the smallest "Two of Hearts" on each side of the window to complete this wedding card.

Be sure to check out this week's challenge "Winter Whites" for your chance to win $20 at the Cheery Lynn Designs Store.

Winter Wedding by Julie Lavalette

3:30 AM 3 Comments

Hi Everyone, It's JULIE here today. Winter is fast approaching now in Scotland and a lot of people like to have a Winter Wedding in hope of some snow. So I thought it would be nice to share some inspiration for a Wedding card to give in the Winter with soft wintry shades.

Here is a photograph of my first few layers. I tore my paper and inked at the edges with Spun Sugar and cut my doilies in half, placing them behind the cardstock.

I now added my leaf flourish and also cut and pieced another leaf flourish on to my card.

My words were layered for a shadow effect and I added an extra layer on to my banner by fussy cutting and tattering the edges.

My flowers were made using the Sweet Christine die. I added a little gem in to the centres and also made some small buds using the same die to add some more interest on to my bouquet.
