Sweet Brad the Reindeer Card with Cheryl Walker

1:30 AM 0 Comments
Hello everyone and Happy Monday to you all!

Today's sweet reindeer card was designed for Cheery Lynn Designs, using their super sweet Brad the Reindeer Die. I also used a couple of their beautiful doilies as well, and will list them below. I hope you enjoy my post for today, and as always, thank you for stopping by!

On my card for today, I decided to use this sweet design paper from Imaginisce, it's an oldie I think. I also used red and green embossed card stock to layer with. For the doilies I selected Cheery Lynn's beautiful Priscilla Doily and Sophia's Heart, both cut using white card stock.

Brad the Reindeer was cut using two Bazzill bling card stock colors, and all other pieces were cut using white, then colored with Copics. I did add some bling to his collar.

The ribbon is satin from Really Reasonable Ribbon, and the cabochon is also from there. Lastly I added some sewing. Super easy and fun card to create.

Other Supplies:
Bazzill card stock, Really Reasonable Ribbon, Really Reasonable Ribbon cabochon, Sewing, Copics, Imaginisce design paper.
Thank you for stopping by and hope you have a lovely day!

Hugs to all,
Cheryl

Airbrushed Peace Dove Card with Cheryl Walker

12:30 AM 7 Comments
Hello everyone, and Happy Sunday to all!
Today's card was designed using 7 Cheery Lynn Dies, and I LOVE the way it has turned out. I did some airbrushing on the Gorgeous Peace Dove, Glass Flower Technique on the Sweet William Flowers, and some sewing on this one. But I truly love layering using my Cheery Lynn dies, as they are all beautiful dies and easy for me to work with!
The Peace Dove was cut out using white card stock.  I then airbrushed it with 3 Copic color blues , and then added some liquid glitter to the wings and tail feathers. The eye was done with a viva pearl pen in black.

Next I airbrushed the little sentiment circle(LPC4 circle Die) using green and blue, and the die as a pattern for the top. I just held it in place and airbrushed over it. Super fun and super easy to do!  The die that is behind the circle is the Pierced Stacker #3 XL-21.

B307 Sweet William Strip Flowers- cut out in coordinating design paper, and then the edges of each flower were distressed using ink and a dabbing tool.  I then did my Glass flower technique on them, and that tutorial can be found HERE under my tutorials. Lastly I added some Really Reasonable Ribbon pearls to the centers of each.

DL280 Royal Scandinavian Doily was cut out in white card stock, an then cut up to place behind my 2nd layer on my card. Super fun way to use this doily on a larger square.

DL184 Sophias Heart doily was used cutting out coordinating design paper and placed on top of my layer 2 to give a base for my next layer which is the pierced stacker #3 and the Circle LPC4

Greenery is from the B587 Step Card Bundle Set #4.  These were cut out in white card stock and colored with Copic markers.

Sewing was done in blue thread.

Cheery Lynn Dies Used:
Step Card Bundle Set #4Circle Pierce LPC4
DL184 Sophias Heart doily
DL280 Royal Scandinavian Doily
B307 Sweet William Strip Flowers
Peace Dove B605
Pierce Stacker #3 XL-21

I love how the blues look here, and on the dove. This card may look like it took long to make, but really it didn't! I think the longest part was doing my glass flowers, as you have to heat them and dip them, so that takes a little time, but well worth the results I say :)
Thank you so much for looking and I always love to hear what you think of my card for today! Happy Creating to all!
Hugs,
Cheryl

Christmas Cheer Doily Tags with Cheryl Walker

12:30 AM 1 Comments
Hello everyone and Happy Sunday to you all!
Today I am excited to share these super fun Doily Tags I created for Cheery Lynn Designs using all the Beautiful dies they carry. LOVE how easy and fun these are to make, I will surely be making more of these, to add to some of our Christmas gifts. Speaking of Christmas this year it seems Christmas has come way to quick for me, wow, im still working on wrapping gifts, and today I just finished decorating the rest of our home. I decorate 3 levels , even  1 of the bathrooms, and laundry room....hahahaha Anyways onto my tags for today!
 Christmas Cheer Tag:
I started off by cutting the Cheery Lynn Sophia's Heart Doily (LOVE THIS)out with Club Scrap white boughs from shades of winter collection., then cut out Horizon Circle Doily die DL272 in a shimmer sand color text weight card stock. Next cut was the design paper cut using LPC4 Circle Pierced die. Layered on that is also the CAS07 Ornament #7 die cut out in the same design paper,it is hard to see in this photo, but in person looks so pretty.

Cheery Lynn Christmas Bell:
was cut using the coordinating white boughs design paper, It was pretty enough, that I did not distress it, or do anything to it, but add 2 pearls, a bow, flowers and wreath branches.

Cheery Lynn B435 Tea Rose Small Flower
I cut this flower out using another design paper from the same kit, but its a real pale design, hard to see, but I love it!, Next I cut out Cheery Lynns B21 Wreath Strip(for branches) in the coordinating shimmer sand paper., I did add a sheer bow, underneath my rose cluster.
 Floral Cluster Tag:
This tag was cut using Cheery Lynn Sophia's Heart Doily die, and cut out with he same 3 design papers as listed above. The only difference is I wanted you to be able t see most of the Sophia doily on this tag. So with that being said, I cut a smaller Horizon Circle Boutique Doily for the center, and a small circle.

Layer for the cluster starts with the string, and bow. Next comes the Medium tea rose, I used 3, and on these I used 2 different inks to achieve the color I wanted.(Faded Jeans & Dusty Concord distress inks), I then hot glued them to the cluster, with the leaves, and wreath branches already attached. makes it easier this way, instead of trying to tuck them under after. Next I added in 3 of the small tea rose flowers, and added some vintage pearls to the centers of all. Super fun and easy to do!

hugs to all,
Cheryl

Dreaming of Summer Days by Julie Lavalette

3:30 AM 4 Comments

Hi Everyone, It's Julie here sharing the blog with you today. We have had such a lovely week of weather in Scotland, so I thought it would be nice to share a Summery card with you all. My card measures approx 7"wide x 6"Height ( 18cm x 14cm ) when standing.

I started making this card by cutting out all my layers, inking the edges and gluing together with a stamped sentiment in the centre.

My Mega Doily was cut out twice to give a shadow effect. I layered them together cutting off a little section at the middle, to make it look neater on the outside. I also place a strip of card down the middle to strengthen my card. I trimmed a little bit off the bottom of my Doily to stop my card from rocking to one side.

Some photographs of my flowers being made.

A close up of a finished flower.

I added a bow to the top of my card using the Pretty Pretty Bows die.

Notice I have added some tiny flowers with pearl centres.

Finally an angled shot of my finished card.

DAISY AND DOILY BY ANITA KEJRIWAL

3:30 AM 2 Comments
Hello to all,
It's Wednesday today and that means it is Cheery Lynn time. Today I bring to you a favourite card shape that I make quite often ...Stepper card. I love this shape as it gives me enough scope to incorporate various layers at different level giving it a 3D look. Plus , since there are no cuts in this card, i.e,  I can make this in any measurements without racking my brains as to how to adjust measurements. I have used a beautiful doily -Sophia's Heart and on that I have made daisies made from the Daisy strip die . The paper is from stash and I have scored thin lines on it on my scoreboard and distressed it with Brushed corduroy distress ink to add some texture. The rest of the materials used are listed below.

The materials used are as follows

Sophia's Heart Doily-DL184
Dancing Doily Lace Border DL 134
Daisy strip B259
Rose leaf strip B241
Leaves from Build a Flower#3=B264
Miniature Rose B152
Stamp-Justrite

Do check the challenge at the Cheery Lynn Designs blog--It is all about Shaped card i.e you have to share a card that is of any shape other than a sqaure. There is fabulous shopping spree of 20$ as prize. Plus we have a DT call going on. So do try your luck.
So see you all next wednesday with more Cheery Lynn goodness.

Love Card with Corina Finley

3:30 AM 2 Comments

Happy Early Valentines!

Corina here with you today and I have a Valentines Card to share.

I created this card a little differently then I normally do. The majority of the time I create a card with a technique in mind, that I want to try and play with. For this card the Lattice Heart & Vines die cut was my starting point:

I then went into my container of previously cut die cuts and pulled out other Valentines themed items. I had a lot of small hearts from the negative (part that cuts out) of the Sophia's Heart Doily and also a portion of the Doily. Also a small and x-small Heart Chain Borders.

I chose a Love Stamp for my Sentiment and a 6 x 6 pattern paper pad.

Created the base using a medium grey cardstock. Matted with a light grey cardstock and then pattern paper next. I adhered my border with the Heart Chain border across it.

I cut a Coved Rectangle from pattern paper and the matching Scalloped Coved Rectangle from red cardstock. I stamped my Love Sentiment to the bottom portion and used pop dots to secure the matted Coved Rectangle.

I cut the Vines off the Lattice Heart and inked the heart red. I coloured the vines black and added Glossy Accents to them. I used the vines as my foliage under my Sweet William flower with a red enamel rose bead in the center.

Added the tiny heart border and the small hearts to the card and glossy accented each of them.

Dies used:

Lattice Heart & Vines - B368

Forever Card

3:30 AM 2 Comments
Hello!

Corina here, for the Friday blog post! I thought I would share with you a Wedding themed card. I believe that this card could also be given as an Anniversary Card.

I love using inks and sprays to create my colour palette. I decided to spray the medium doily (Lilith Doily) with homemade glimmer mist in Black Pearl and the Butterfly (Small Exotic Butterflies #1) with Silver Onyx. The heart (Two Of Hearts) was sprayed with Cherry Pie Dylusions. The POP of red on the beautiful heart doily is perfect!

Layering with Cheery Lynn Dies is easy and simple. The hardest choice is colour! So let your imagination take over and see where it takes you!

Have a great weekend and remember to Create!

Dies used:
Mega Fanciful Flourish - B167
Small Gardenia - B433
Gardenia Strip - B339
Medium Rose - B154
Forever (Set of 2) - B352
Two Of Hearts - DL128
Lilith Doily w/ Angel Wing - DL263
Small Exotic Butterflies #1 w/Angel Wings - DL112AB
Sophia's Heart - DL184

Take care,

Corina

Emphasize your Dies with Rhonda

"Always" 12x12 Page

Happy Thursday crafty friends! It's Rhonda here today to host the blog for you.

Today I have a page to share featuring a few of my favorite Cheery Lynn Designs dies along with some new Quick Quotes papers from the September Club Q kit.  I love how the pretty details of the die cuts are emphasized against the black card stock background here.  They also mimic the pattern and feel of the papers that were used.

I did a bit of cutwork in the pattern of the papers and used that as my designs foundation along with the stamped coffee marks. The large doily is the Sophia's Heart Doily and anchors my framed photo with a bit of cheesecloth layered underneath to further emphasize my stamped design. To build on the circular emphasis, I pierced in a few circle patterns in the background.

To accent my chipboard I layered a Sophie's Heart Mini doily underneath.  I also tucked in the Sophia's Heart Border above the larger grey banner.  A bit of flourish bling, enamel dots and a few sequins and flair round out the page. I love the big impact that these pretty dies make on a page!

Shabby-Chic Trinket Box {Plus Bloom Video Tutorial}

7:00 AM 9 Comments
Hi everyone, it's me Gabrielle here with you today to share with you another project I made with a few of the gorgeous Cheery Lynn Dies!  Lately I've been fixing up my scraproom and find myself in need of pretty little boxes to store my scrap goodies.  For this box I used the amazing Gardenia flower strip die to create the center piece blooms for this box.

I started out with a simple craft paper covered box and glued one of the beautiful lacy doilies Cheery Lynn is so famous for to the top of the box.  I used the Sophia's Heart Doily DL184 cut from pink card stock (it fit perfectly to the top of my box, yay!)  I then layered on some burlap, white netting, some leaf flourishes (Fanciful Flourish cut from a sage green cardstock) and then added some blooms made with the Gardinia strip. I edged the lip of the top with the matching border to the doily - Sophia's Heart Border B333.  Two pieces of the trim left a small gap so I cut the heart design from the center of the doily and used it as an opening for the lid adding a small button.

The blooms were super easy to make and I thought I'd do a little video tutorial to show you all how to create a varigated color design with your bloom die cuts....

Supplies used for this project:
~ Gardenia Strip B339
Sophia's Heart Doily DL184
~ Sophia's Heart Border B333
~ Sweet Williams D137 (small bud)
~ Fanciful Flourish B117
~ Lace Corner Deco B162

I hope you enjoyed my project for today and hope you'll give these blooms strips a try, they are super easy to make and the variations and colors are endless! xo
