Hello Tag by Jenny Alia

3:30 AM 0 Comments

Hello!  I'm back today with a floral tag I made.  I've been experimenting using different colors for leave lately.  I hope you like the result.  I think the vertical stripes give the tag an elongated appearance.  I cut the flowers out of a glitter paper I made with a background stamp and embossing powder.  I used an orange polka dot paper to cut the flourishes.  The tag needed a little more interest and the polka dots complement the ones on the top of the tag.

The flowers were adhered with foam adhesive and blue rhinestones were glued to the centers.

Happy Shower with Lisa Blastick

3:30 AM 0 Comments

Hi, Welcome back for another new card for Cheery Lynn Designs. I originally was thinking about April showers and then I started to think about all the baby showers that are this month. So I combined the two into one card. I wanted to make it baby blues but with some girly accents.

I colored the rain drops and then added a glitter pen for extra shine. I also did that on the flourishes too. In the centers of the flowers is teal gala glitz. Be sure to get this adorable umbrella for your collection because it is on clearance.

Hello by Jenny Alia

3:30 AM 0 Comments

Hi, I was inspired to use lime green and aqua together and this is the result.  The hello is photographing as black but it's actually more of a charcoal color.  I chose the colors first, the background lattice next, and then the flowers and foliage.

This hello from the Bohemian Word set is one of my go-to Cheery Lynn dies.  I love the casual script font and the size is large enough to make a visual impact on a card.  It works well on clean-and-simple cards but is elegant enough to use on other style cards as well.  After molding the Sweet Williams flowers using a stylus and molding mat, I added a white center from the Embellishment #2 Set and glued small rhinestones to the centers.

A Blessed Easter with Lisa Blastick

3:30 AM 0 Comments

Good morning! I hope every one is having a wonderful day. I wanted to share one more card for the upcoming Easter holiday. This card is focused more on the religious side using a beautiful cross die cut by Cheery Lynn Designs

I wanted to create the card and with several layers. I used Fiona's Magic Mirror, A Stitched Rectangle, then a Stitched Oval before the Cross. A used the rabbit form Nesting Eggs and added pearls for the eye and tail. There are little eggs in the corner with beautiful flowers and leaves. I also had to use the Dove because it makes me think of heaven.

Bird Cage Tea Light With Lisa Blastick

3:30 AM 0 Comments

Hi! Welcome back with a new project using Cheery Lynn Designs. I wanted to make a 3D Bird Cage Tea Light using the new "decorative bird cage"  It is really very beautiful with amazing details. I die cut out the bird cage 4 times and glued it together. The little door opens up too.

I used "miniature roses" and one of my favorite "flourish #13" on the sides and on top.

I added one bird from "bird bath" but you could add as many as you like. The tea light fits perfectly in the center. Great for wedding, baby shower or any special occasion.

Two more roses on top...I tied the tops together with pink ribbon.

Hope you enjoyed!

Spring Birthday by Laurie Schmidt

12:30 AM 1 Comments

Hi everyone!

Laurie here from Stamping Up North sharing a Birthday card today. It seems I am always in need of Birthday cards, especially in the spring. Spring makes me think of flowers, so I decided to use the Floral Bouquet Kit for this card.

I started out with Cheery Lynn's Lattice #2...such a pretty background pattern. I cut it out in black and backed it on some grey paper, adding some pink flowers from the Floral Bouquet die set. The centers have enamel dots, and the leaves are from flourish #13. I stamped a small sentiment on the bottom in black.

I am always amazed at the awesome detail in Cheery Lynn dies!

Here's a list of dies I used for this card:

Shabby Birthday With Lisa Blastick

3:30 AM 1 Comments

Hi! Welcome back to another card using several Cheery Lynn Designs Die Cuts. I was in the shabby chic mode when I decided to make this card using some of my old Graphic 45 papers. The sentiment was stamped on the "quadrafoil tag" just beautiful details.

I love the "fleur de lis doily" It is so detailed and worked perfectly for the background. The "daisy strip" was used to make the flowers. I cut the set out twice and just layered the same size together. In the center is gala glitz in brown. When I think of daisies I usually think yellow....not today! lol

I used two of my favorite leaves " flourish leaf strip" and "flourish #13"
This card was really easy to make and its looks like you spent hours to do it...

Easter Baskets With Lisa Blastick

3:30 AM 2 Comments

Hi! It's still February but who is ready for Spring!
Here is Arizona it is been pretty nice, but I watch the weather and it appears that winter is still here almost everywhere else...
So, here is a springtime project you can make pretty easy using lots of
Cheery Lynn Designs Die Cuts.
Fun little Easter baskets using "Scalloped Party Favor Box".

I have been checking out the little box for some time now and I finally decided to make baskets with them. I cut the favor box in kraft and then stamped a basket pattern on top with brown ink. The handle is "siena double edge border" and was also cut in kraft paper.

I debated between chocolate bunnies and white "bunnies"? White bunny won...because of the basket color...but there are so many options. Little google eyes are a must for me. I used the smallest flower from "floral bouquet kit" in teal and purple with gala glitz in the centers.

Lastly, 2 sets per basket of the "flourish 13" Love that leaf die cut!

Here is the back of the "favor box" I added some green grass in the centers.
Candy of your choice! Great gift to pass out...

Have a great day!

Lady Steampunk by Julie Lavalette

3:30 AM 1 Comments

Hi everyone, it's JULIE here today and I do hope you are having a lovely weekend preparing for the forthcoming Festivities. I thought it would be nice to share a card using the fantastic Steampunk dies that Cheery Lynn make.  I love the versatility of these dies and have fun making them look grungy, masculine or giving them a feminine shabby look. So let me take you through the details on my card.

My Steampunk corners, cogs and butterfly wings were all heat embossed with Frantage powders, tucking accents of cogs behind my paper layers with touches of lace and cheesecloth.

My corset was mounted onto patterned paper and trimmed around the edges. I repeated this process cutting out the bust area only and glued in place on top of the corset with silicone glue to add dimension. The belt was made using the Hinges die adding a little thread. I finished my corset with lace edges and some bling then mounted onto my Butterfly.

My roses and leaves were cut in coordinating paper to compliment the roses on my paper.

Joy to the World Poinsettia Wreath Greeting Card by Ginny Nemchak

3:00 AM 4 Comments
Hey there Paper Peeps! Ginny here to share a very country inspired Christmas greeting card I created with fabulous Cheery Lynn Designs Dies, festive patterned papers and perfectly coordinating ribbon trim. This card is an A2 size with a base of cranberry colored cardstock.

These scrumptious Poinsettias are a delight to make as they go together in a snap. I ran the die through to make 2 flowers.....but left the smaller two top layers off and created separate blooms with them so I got 4 flowers for the price of two hooray! After shaping them and assembling them I added a thin coat of a clear Stickle and sprinkled on a diamond dust glitter for a nearly iridescent look then popped in a pearly accent for the center.

To create a fuller wreath I cut two from the Joy To The World die and stacked them up. Additional bulk for the floral arrangement comes from Flourish #13 leaves that are finished with a green Stickle for a little sparkle.

The background is created with a crisp white French Pastry Doily and the tiny berry clusters are a great finishing detail cut with the Holly Leaf die from plaid paper and topped off with red bling..

Okay that's all for me. Wising all of you a happy and productive day with lots of time to be creative : ) G

Sister Celebration by Julie Lavalette

3:30 AM 1 Comments

Hi Cheery Lynn friends, it's JULIE here and today I am sharing a shabby chic style card using many of our beautiful floral and lace style dies.

My card measures 8x5 Inches and I started by adding a patterned layer of paper to my card which I added Frantage, distressed at the edges and added some ink. I also added a couple of corner accents and my double layered inked butterfly.

My next couple of layers were torn across the page and my small doily and leaves inserted behind. These layers were added with foam strips for extra dimension.

My main image was mounted onto my frame with foam strips. I added Frantage, my word Sister and a Flower into the girl's hair for extra detail.

My flourish was cut down and all the parts placed in at different angles. Adding my flowers and extra leaves finishing with accents of Pearls.

Thinking of You by Jenny Alia

3:30 AM 1 Comments

Hello crafty friends, it's Jenny here today.  Lately I've been making tons of flowers using different Cheery Lynn dies.  They are easy to create and I love how they come to life once assembled.  For this card, I matched flowers to the striped Bo Bunny card stock and then developed the card. The card is a 5.5" square with the Scalloped LG Stacking Square as the base.  I layered a piece of white card stock on top, then the patterned paper, then the doily and then the sentiment.

I chose the Quadrafoil Square Doily as the central point of the design.  Both the Shasta Daisy and the Black Eyed Susan were colored with distress ink and the center of the Black Eyed Susan was rolled with a quilling tool.  I added a little distress ink to the edges of the blue petals as well as the edges of the Thinking of You Sentiment Square

For a Special Mother by Debbie Brownmiller

12:30 AM 3 Comments
Nice to see you here today. It's Debbie from Debbie's Time Out.  I hope you are having a wonderful day doing what you love to do. I know Mother's Day is over but wanted to do one more Mother's Day Card . You could give a Mom this card any day of the year to show her how special she is without waiting until Mother's Day.
I had this beautiful piece of dragonfly paper in my stash that was card size and thought what a beautiful card that would make if I didn't cover the dragonfly up.  I did like the end results.
Here I inked and  layered one of the frames from the  Square Frames  set. I layered the Fern Leaf  and the small leaves which are from the Flourish #13 .  The flowers I used are Chrysanthemum Strip , Shasta Daisy , Daisy Strip  and Judy's Blooms . The centers of the flowers are from the Build a Flower # 1.
This sentiment is cut from one of the Say What? (Set of 16).
Here I have tucked in one of the vases  from the Vase (Set of 4) set in behind the floral arrangement. I used a piece of paper that had a tiny flower design to cut the vase from and I think the vase turned out so pretty.

I invite you to come on over to the Cheery Lynn Designs blog
@ http://cheerylynndesigns.blogspot.ca/search/label/challenge and join the challenge for your chance to win a $20.00 shopping spree. I would love to see your creations.

Have a crafty week my friends.

Tropical Birthday with Lisa Blastick

3:30 AM 2 Comments

Hello everyone! I'm here today to share with you my first cascading card made for Cheery Lynn Designs. I have been making some different shaped cards lately. So I wanted to make this cascading card using lots of tropical flowers. It was inspired from patterned paper by K & Company. You will see the patterned paper below.

Lots of "tropical flowers" in hot pink, orange, and yellow. The "olive branches" and "flourishes" were my fillers. The "olive branches" even match the green patterned paper too!  I placed small pop dots behind the flowers for a bit more 3D look.

On the top edge I die cut "dancing doily" in white and fussy cut out 6 pieces.

I layered the "dancing doily" on the edge first. Next I placed leaves and flourishes and then placed the flowers on top. The "tropical flower" has 2 pieces, I die cut one in the color and then in white on top.

The sentiment was stamped in black and fussy cut out too.
Here you can see how it is flat for mailing.

Last, but not least...my patterned paper that was my inspiration!

Thanks for stopping by today!
