A Freebie for You

Here is a couple of samples from Gecko Galz along with a freebie just for  you.
Below is a Gecko Galz image I decided to color using watercolors.  I am pleased with the results.
I combined the background image from Gecko Galz with the woman image of Lunagirl.  Lunagirl  Lunagirl Moonbeams begins a challenge Monday of Anything Goes so I am using an image from one of the Lunagirl CDs

Here is the freebie from Gecko Galz.  Give them a visit and tell them how much your appreciate their giving you all the freebies the past months.

Spring: In Suspension

"Spring:  In Suspension" is what I named this mixed media canvass.  It uses watercolors, acrylics, and Stickles.  I did this a little while back and I am just posting.  I really enjoyed creating this.

Hearts and Flowers

This is the second week for the theme Hearts and Flowers.  It is such an easy theme. You can use digital or regular stamps or even hand-draw your images.  Let's see some more entries!  Just remember to not enter more than twice in order to be eligible for the prize. The Design Team has been busy at work.
Vicki
I used a different approach to this card.  I wanted a little color without worrying about detail and I have gotten to really like working with watercolors.

For week 2 of Hearts and flowers I chose this gorgeous flower (marigold?) from Floppy Latte at Stitchy Bear Outlet. The card is 4 1/4 X 6 1/4 and used an ornamental lace die from the Momento Collection - Tied together. This die is from Couture Creations. I used some stardream paper in vanilla to cut the lace piece and layered it on Daffodil Delight cardstock. Cut the Happy Birthday out of a scrap of green cardstock then added the white heart.

For the second week of Hearts and Flowers, I made a card using a lovely image called " large shaded flower" which was kindly supplied by our sponsor Stitchy Bear. I colored it digitally and layered it on a black corrugated cardboard and then on a cardstock. After that I added some punched flowers, crystals, a blue swirl and a sentiment. Hope you keep playing along with us! Have an inspiring week!

Hearts and flowers are such lovely images to work with.  Our DT was given digital images from Stitchy Bear artist Floppy Latte to make our creations.  Here is my week 2 card -- the digital image is called "large shaded flower" and I printed it on Gecko Galz paper and then colored it with colored pencils. I cut that piece and layered it on a second piece of designer paper from Gecko Galz then added borders, distressing and a punched heart.  This card could be used for a birthday, get well, sympathy or any number of occasions.  I look forward to seeing your creations this week!

For my card for the second week I've featured both hearts and flowers, using the lovely 'flowers and lattice' image from Stitchy Bear's 'in the garden', coloured with chameleon pens and fussy cut to stick on a shaped card blank, adding the Kanban sentiment panel, gems and epoxy hearts.

All these wonderful images are by Floppy Latte which can be found on the Stitchey Bear Outlet Store.  Please go and visit their site as they have been so gracious to sponsor a number of my challenges this year.

Unruly Paper Arts Artchain

I was invited by Michele Storms to enter the Unruly Paper Arts Artchain yesterday and this is my Day 1 entry.  It has numerous Lunagirl Images. The background is printed tissue paper on which I used some watercolor.   In turn I invited Shelly Schmidt to join in.

Lunagirl's "Birds"

orgeThis is the second week of Lunagirl's challenge theme "Put a Bird On It".  For my piece this week I chose to alter a playing card and I chose roosters as my birds.  This is what I created:
I

The background was done in watercolor and the roosters and  the roosters were from Lunagirl.   I added a fence diecut and the cat was a sticker.  The "straw" was raffia.  I like the way this turned out.  However, I am falling behind in getting the 52 playing cards altered.

Don't forget to go to Lunagirl Moonbeams to see the other team member's creations and enter yours.

Just Playing Around

I took a piece of Gelli Plate print that was left over from a previous project and decided I needed to put an image in the forest.   I am pleased with the way it turned out.

My First "Moo"

I am joining in on the Moo Mania with my first Moo.  A Moo is 1.1 x 2.8 inches.  The theme is "Numbers"   When we in the US think of numbers, probably the first thing that comes to mind is Tax Day, April 15.  My Moo has has a watercolor background.

Wildflowers

This Just Some Lines image of wildflowers was colored with watercolors.  I really don't know how to use watercolors, but I thought it would be the appropriate medium for the image.  So I tried my hand at it.  My card uses a number of layers of paper and cardstock.  I finished off with a big red bow.

This card was made for Just Some Lines' "Layers" challenge.  It started this past weekend so go take a peek and enter the challenge.

By the way, Just Some Lines is having a Design Team call.  If you are interested, make sure you visit the site for details.
