Sweet as Honey

Lunagirl is having a challenge "Honey Bee" and I forgot to post my original sample so I am going to post the one for last week and the one for the second week of her challenge now.
This is a two-page spread journal page using images from Lunagirl.  Below are some close-ups of the journal pages

The Lunagirl Honey Bee challenge is in its second week and  this is a card I made for this week.
The jar of honey is a Stampin'  Up stamp and the bee a Lunagirl image.  The bee is on a dimensional and sits up from the front on the card.  Both backgrounds were made using stencils and acrylic paint.

The "Birds" Have It at Lunagirl

The Lunagirl Moonbeams Design Team members are showing many birds the next two weeks as the theme is to Put a Bird on Your Project.  Below are my inspirational piece.  I took an unfinished birdhouse, painted it using acrylic paint and stencils and then Modge Podge birds all over the birdhouse including an owl on the back in the eves of the church.  Below are a couple of views of the house.  Now I need to varnish it so the weather will not hurt it.
I have loads of birds in my yard and I hope to see in the Spring some build a nest in the "church".

A Desire For Sunshine

I felt in the mood to really put some sunshine on an art journal page.  This is what I came up with....Sunburst with a Message.  On this page I used stencils from Crafter's Workshop and my acrylic paints.

This is a close-up of the message.

Self-Potrait? Not Sure!

This is a journal page I recently posted on Facebook.  The background was created with the Gelli Plate and acrylic paint.  Numerous stencils were used for the background.  The face was created with a StencilGirl stencil.

Just a Box

I had a box that a card kit came in and I was using it to carry my cardstock in when I met with my card group.  I really didn't like the box with the advertisement on the front so I decided to decorate.  This is what I came up with.  It is definitely not a boring box now.

Dots and Dashes

On close look at my recent art journal page you will see numerous colors behind the dots and dashes.    There is white, orange, yellow, blue, gray, and a little green.   I recently made this using a number of stencils, The dots and dash stencil is from StencilGirl.  The page was made using a Gelli Plate.

Paint Everywhere

Well last night I spread paint everywhere.  I created a couple of  papers, but I am only showing one tonight.  I love the colors and the way this turned out.  They are some minor things I could improve on, but most importantly is I had fun.

The background was made with a Gelli Plate.  On top of that is a stenciled figure.  I took Carolyn Dube's Gelli Plate workshop and as well as her Stencil Play workshop.  Both of these were so much fun and I learned so much.  If you want two great online classes, these are the ones to take.

More for the Road

Since my challenge "Let's Stencil" is ending tonight,  I thought I would post another stencil piece this afternoon.  This uses almost all the acrylic colors I own.  I was just playing around and came up with this.

More Gelli Art

Here is a page I made the other day.  I really like the way it turned out.  It uses a couple of recently purchased stencils   I like the way the white flowers pop out of the background layers.   "Summer Flowers" is what I named this one
