I treated the Dusty Bear image a little differently this time.  I paper pieced the image by using a piece of wrapping paper that looked  perfectly for an apron.  I added a sentiment created on the computer.

Week 2 of In The Kitchen I used this super sweet image from Stitchy Bear Digitals, I just finished watching Master chef Junior and those kids 8 to 13 were just awesome at cooking it sure made me envious. I used another piece of the Kitchen paper pad this time I used the green and yellow colours that are in it for the accent colours on the card (didn't want to do another pink card, LOL) I used the square die and lacy square die to cut the image and the layer. Picked up the yellow with the ribbon. I will computer generate a sentiment when I figure one out, until then it will remain blank. \\

Here is another cute digital image provided by our sponsor Stitchy Bear,  I printed the little chef and colored him with pencils.  The first background paper is from my stash but the sunburst is by McMahon Five.  I used some stick on letters for the sentiment and punched a heart with my heart punch to finish the piece.

For the second week of In the Kitchen, I used a digi called A la mode. You can find it at Stitchey Bear Outlet. I colored my lovely image with watercolor pencils and layered it on a scrapbook paper. Then, I added a trim, some cup cakes buttons and a canvas sticker.Hope you play along with us. Have a magical week
For my card I used the Stitchy Bear ala mode image, kindly supplied by the sponsor. I coloured with spectrum noir pens, cut round the image and mounted on to torn pieces of Dovecraft Cupcake Boutique papers, then on to the background paper. The sentiments were generated on my Dymo letratag.

A special thank you goes to Stitchey Bear Outlet for sponsoring this challenge.

A Little Raper Piecing

Here is my entry in Crafter's Digital Art Center's (CDAC"s) Progressive challenge.  It uses the umbrella image from Nana Vic Digitals.   I haven't done any paper piecing lately so I thought this would be the perfect image to do it on.  The sentiment is from Quote Garden and I really like what it says.  If you haven't been to the CDAC site lately, you are missing some great challenges.

Paper Piecing Portrait

Here is a card I made a while back using paper piecing.  The image is called Asian Square Masami / Beautiful  from CS Designs.  I tried to do a little paper piecing on rhis.  I think doing this technique on a digital is much harder than on a regularly stamped image.

A piece of lace punched from a Martha Stewart adds a contrasting color to the card.  I really like using green and purple.  As a final piece of embellisshment I strung some green beads and attached it to an old button.

Paper Piecing

Here is a card I made a couple weeks ago.   On this card I did a little paper piecing,  I think this printed paper was a perfect choice for the awning.  The little flowers at teh biottom of the window were colored with Copic markers.  The stamp for the main image is by Stampabilities.  The greeting is a VAP stamp.

Challenge #10- Be My Valentine

In a couple of days is February.  That is the month for love and lovers.   Therefore, Challenge #10 is "Be My Valentine".  Your creation can be anything pertaining to love and lovers.  The challenge will end at midnight Sunday, February 6.

Here are a couple of posts that might give you some inspiration.

Krisha
Stamp is from Rubber Stampede, and the die cuts are from K&Co. Bits and pieces of lace from my stash and some floral paper brought it all together

Barbara
Can you believe that Valentine's Day is just around the corner. I thought that this would be a fun image for a Valentine's Day card. Around the image I used paper lace tape. The background is Core'dinations paper which has been dry embossed using a Cuttlebug folder and then sanded. The sentiment was printed on my Dymo printer using the open font. I then used a marker to colorize it. I love the vintage look of this card.
Vicki
My tag is one I created for  the Oh La La group of Bella Creations.  It uses the group's Avatar.  I cut the image with a Spellbinders cutter and paper pieced the bouquet of flowers that the man is holding.  As an additional embellishment I placed a flower in the corner of the tag.  I use a rub-on to place the word "Together".  For the final bit of embellishment I attached two pieces of my favorite lace trim.

The random generator will pick the winner again for this challenge.  The prize?  It is valued at $17.95!
It is the Technique Junkies  Fancy Folds and Motion Paper Crafts CD.
You will not regret being the winner of this CD as it is wonderful.  There are so many outstanding  techniques on it

Paper Piecing

I knew the minute I got this stamp from Artistic Outpost that I wanted to do some paper piecing on it.  This is a card I sent to my Just One partner this month.  Both stamps are from Artistic Outpost.
