Hearts and Flowers

This is the second week for the theme Hearts and Flowers.  It is such an easy theme. You can use digital or regular stamps or even hand-draw your images.  Let's see some more entries!  Just remember to not enter more than twice in order to be eligible for the prize. The Design Team has been busy at work.

I used a different approach to this card.  I wanted a little color without worrying about detail and I have gotten to really like working with watercolors.

For week 2 of Hearts and flowers I chose this gorgeous flower (marigold?) from Floppy Latte at Stitchy Bear Outlet. The card is 4 1/4 X 6 1/4 and used an ornamental lace die from the Momento Collection - Tied together. This die is from Couture Creations. I used some stardream paper in vanilla to cut the lace piece and layered it on Daffodil Delight cardstock. Cut the Happy Birthday out of a scrap of green cardstock then added the white heart.

For the second week of Hearts and Flowers, I made a card using a lovely image called " large shaded flower" which was kindly supplied by our sponsor Stitchy Bear. I colored it digitally and layered it on a black corrugated cardboard and then on a cardstock. After that I added some punched flowers, crystals, a blue swirl and a sentiment. Hope you keep playing along with us! Have an inspiring week!

Hearts and flowers are such lovely images to work with.  Our DT was given digital images from Stitchy Bear artist Floppy Latte to make our creations.  Here is my week 2 card -- the digital image is called "large shaded flower" and I printed it on Gecko Galz paper and then colored it with colored pencils. I cut that piece and layered it on a second piece of designer paper from Gecko Galz then added borders, distressing and a punched heart.  This card could be used for a birthday, get well, sympathy or any number of occasions.  I look forward to seeing your creations this week!

For my card for the second week I've featured both hearts and flowers, using the lovely 'flowers and lattice' image from Stitchy Bear's 'in the garden', coloured with chameleon pens and fussy cut to stick on a shaped card blank, adding the Kanban sentiment panel, gems and epoxy hearts.

All these wonderful images are by Floppy Latte which can be found on the Stitchey Bear Outlet Store.  Please go and visit their site as they have been so gracious to sponsor a number of my challenges this year.

Challenge #116 - "Hearts and Flowers"

I hope to see loads of entries for this challenge as it is very easy.    The theme is "Hearts and Flowers".  Your entry may have EITHER or BOTH hearts and flowers on it.  This gives you many possibilities.

You really can't tell by the scan, but t his is a very delicate-looking card.  I ran the white cardstock through the dotted embossing folder and.  On top of that I put the Floppy Latte image from Stitchey Bear Outlet with a grey mat.  As embellishment I place a silver trim and butterflies on the card.  The flowers were colored with Copics

For the first week of the Hearts and Flowers challenge I used this beautiful digi from Floppy Latte at Stitchy Bear. I used a sketch from The Crooked Stamper Sketch #6 and flipped it horizontal . I coloured the image with copics and used a black butterfly that was sitting on my table and added some pink rhinestones for the body. There isn't a sentiment on the front or inside as I like a few generic cards on hand and this image can be used for just about any occasion, I'm sure I will use this image  often too.

For the first week of Hearts and Flowers I used an image kindly supplied by our sponsor Stitchy Bear and it is called Almost kissing. It is a lovely silhouette. I attached corner border sticker and added a red rose after mounting my couple onto a cardstock and a scrapbook vintage paper. Hope you play along with us! Have an inspiring weekend!

Our DT was given digital images from Stitchy Bear artist Floppy Latte to work with for this challenge and I was asked to use a digital image called "Doves and Heart Frame."  I thought this image would make a nice wedding gift tag. I used some designer paper from Gecko Galz for the background and decided not to color the digital stamp but to just print it out, fussy cut it and add it to the colorful paper. I picked up on the white color theme by using a white die cut border, a white heart brad and white ribbon.  I also added a sentiment sticker from my stash.

I used the lovely dogwood image from Stitchy Bear's In the garden, kindly supplied by the sponsor, colouring this with chameleon pens and then die cutting using one of the Spellbinder marvelous squares die. The background paper is from a booklet of the Country Dairy of an Edwardian Lady collection which seemed appropriate for the card. Some spotty ribbon, lace, gems and sentiment finish off the card.
