Stamps - Altenew Build A Flower - Rose and Label Love
Dies - Altenew and MFT Dienamics
Inks - Altenew and Distress Oxide

Hanami Garden

When I saw the new Hanami Garden collection at my local Kaisercraft store, I was in love with this delicious collection! I rarely buy the 12x12 papers as usually the 6x6 size is more suitable for cardmaking. For this A5 sized card, the larger papers were perfect!! I also used the die cut from the Collectables to make this card. I'm adding this to Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Use Patterned Paper.

Materials:
Paper - Kaisercraft Hanami Garden collection and glitter cardstock
Dies - Winnie and Walter Happy, MFT Large Numbers, Tim Holtz Scribbles and Splat
Stamps - Concord and 9th
Ink - Hero Arts
Others - Kaisercraft pearls

Inks - Distress Ink Gathered Twigs

A feminine 60th birthday card

We had double 60th celebrations at work this week. I made this card inspired by the colours of the current Altenew June inspiration challenge. I ended up making two cards as I was not happy with the darker colours of the first card. I thought I would share both cards but I prefer the lighter one! The first card was made by stamping with distress inks and I brushed the colours into the background and overstamp with black ink afterwards. The second card was made by stamping the images in black first and then colouring the background with distress inks. Both cards were A5 size. Thanks for dropping by!

Materials:
Stamps - Altenew Wild Hibiscus, Winnie and Walter Happy Everything
Dies - MFT Big Numbers
Inks - Distress Inks Picked Raspberry, Tea Dye, Worn Lipstick and Ripe Persimmon
Other - Ranger Liquid Pearls

An 80th Birthday Card

This card is for a family friend of my Italian partner. When he asked me to make this card, he wanted an Italian greeting. I used the Altenew stamps for the background and sentiment, the background colours were based loosely on the current Altenew June inspiration challenge. When I was finished with the card, I was not happy that I met the challenge, so stay tuned for the next card!! Anyway, I think she would like the card! Thanks for dropping by!

She's 16!

I can't believe that our youngest niece is turning 16 tomorrow! She lives in Sydney and I made this card on Mother's Day, in between running a few errands! I wanted to use a stencil so that I can enter it into this week's Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge. Can you see the stencil in this card! I used the Flash creative screening from Winnie and Walter for the background using two distress inks to colour. I then overstamped with images from The Party stampset. The '16' was diecut with MFT Dienamcs Big numbers dies and glitter foam which I picked up from Lincraft recently. Of course the card would not be complete without a bit of Wink of Stella on the balloons and a sprinkling of sequins. Thanks for dropping by!

A Retro Sketch

Here is a quick card made for the current Retro Sketch using some new washi tape I purchased from Typo on a recent trip to Kuala Lumpur. I just love the matching colours! I'm also adding this to Virginia's View Challenge #5 - Die Cuts, Paper Smooches Sparks - Anything Goes and Moxie Fab World's Wonderful Words Challenge. This is going to a little girl who is turning 14 very soon!

Happy 60th Rob

A very close colleague at work turned 60 this week and we couldn't let it slip without notice. This is an A6 card that I made for his birthday. I'm happy to publish this now that we have given it to him! I'm linking this card to Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge - Anything Goes.
I like to share a joke that we added inside the card:-

'My Grandmother started walking five miles a day when she was sixty. She's ninety seven now, and we don't know where the hell she is! Happy 60th Birthday and don't get lost!'

Edited to Add - Moxie Fab World Handmade Cards Week - The Tapes and Stickers Challenge.

Happy 8th birthday!

I had a day off from work yesterday and arranged to have lunch up with two online bloggers - Jenny from My Paper Epiphany and Lyndal from Dreams and Other Realities. It was great to meet in person rather than over our blogs and we had fun comparing notes. I was in the mood for making a card when I got home last night and wanted to make one for the Paper Smooches Cool Shades challenge. This is my card I made with my one and only Paper Smooches stampset and dies. I wanted to do a washi tape card and I have picked up a lot of new followers on Pinterest due to a discussion on Splitcoast Stampers forum on Washi Tape.

Well, I had a sleepness night as I was not happy with the card. So the next day, when I got another chance, I made another card, see below. I must admit I am much happier with the square format as I can fit the sentiments onto the card.
Just a quick mention, my Graduation card got a Red Carpet Spotlight this week! Yay, my first submission to Red Carpet and it got spotted!!
Thanks for dropping by!
