Tanner's Baby Blessing Outfit

I wanted something different for Tanner's blessing outfit. Since I've had two boys and dressed them both in white, Isaac's was shorts and Daxton's was long pants... I just had to have something different. I love the knit look. The little suits are cute but I always think they look uncomfortable. So I went shopping and came across this cashmere feel romper. It was off white and gray. The trimming around the wrists and ankles were so sweet with a tiny roll. It had fancy buttons. Not snaps, buttons. It was soft. It was just perfect. And he looked angelic. Socks were hard. I bought several pairs and could never get the right color. I finally found some plain gray that matched. I then found an off white baby blanket made of cashmere to match. I really loved his little outfit. It was so fun to have something a bit different!

I'm no professional, but I snapped some pictures of him at 2 months old in his blessing outfit. Good thing too because he started growing out of it so fast!!! This was a special day. I love my little man.

Tanner's Baby Blessing

Since Tanner is my third boy I wanted something different for his blessing outfit. I've had one white short summer outfit and one long white winter outfit. I like simple and pretty... none of this fluff with bow-ties and coats. I like them to look sweet and cozy. I'll just tell you, boys don't have a lot of selection in a blessing outfit. My friend told me to check baby gap and ya know what? I fell in love with this soft cashmere looking striped gray and off white outfit. It had the buttons not snaps, darling trim around the neck, sleeves, and feet. It was warm and so cozy and he could wear it again! Something I didn't do with the others. (Not that he wore it that much longer cause he's growing tall very fast!)
Anyways, Brett picked up this outfit and i found an off white cashmere blanket to go with it. I loved it. I thought he looked precious.
On August 14th we blessed Tanner at 7 weeks old. Our church was at 1 o'clock so we had plenty of time to fuss and get everyone ready in the morning. It ended up being a warm sunny day, couldn't have asked for better weather. The blessing was beautiful. Brett has such a calm spirit when he gives blessings. I was thankful I was relaxed and just could enjoy the day. We had a lot of family and friends come and support us. I'm so thankful for all of them.

After we had a little luncheon at our house. Once we rearranged the furniture there was lots of space for everyone to come and go. (And the nice weather helped for the kids having room to run and play!)
I love this picture of Grandma Mona and Grandma Nancy. Nancy looks so happy looking at cute Tanner.
Aunt Sandra and Tanner.
LaMonte and his mom, Marjorie.
Look at these cuties!!! Tanner is growing and slowly catching up to Kazden. I loved how they both looked so soft and fuzzy in their little outfits.

I borrowed my friends camera and tried to set up a little photo shoot with Tanner because shortly after his blessing he grew like a weed!! His outfit was getting tight. I'm no professional, that's for sure. But I got a couple of cute pictures of him.

Tanner, this was such a special day. I'm so glad your in our family. Your mom, dad, and brothers love you so much. Thank you for brining such a sweet spirit and warm light into our home. Love, Mom.

Daxton's Blessing Pictures

My sweet little Daxton looked so beautiful the day of his blessing, we had to take some professional pictures of him. My neighbor, Jason was kind enough to take the pictures and they turned out better then I could have imagined! They are darling!! I kept telling Jason how much I loved his camera because it took such great pictures. He informed me, "It's not the camera but the photographer who takes great pictures!" I stand corrected. But I'm grateful for him and the time he took out of his busy schedule to do this for us. I couldn't pick just one, so here are some of my favorite pictures!

I also have to thank my mom and dad for this darling outfit and blanket they gave to Dax as a present. He looked like a tiny little angel!

We got him to give us a few little smiles!

Thanks again Jason!!! They are perfect!

Daxton's Baby Blessing

Saturday, January 2nd we had a small gathering with family and friends at our church and had Daxton's baby blessing. Because of the flu season and the crazy sicknesses being passed around, we decided having a small gathering would be best. It actually turned out to be such a nice way to have a blessing! It was such a neat experience to have so many people we love, all in the same room, as we blessed our sweet baby boy.

Daxton, Ashley, Isaac, and Brett
Brett gave a beautiful blessing and I am truly grateful for a husband who honors his Priesthood and can bless our children.

Grandpa Dale, Grandma Linda, and Daxton

I was so thrilled my mom could be at Daxton's blessing. Just recently she is doing well enough that she was able to buy a van and get around to a few places. It was really neat having her there.

It was also very exciting to have Nancy and LaMonte here for the blessing. When Isaac was born they were on their mission, so we were very grateful to have them there. They are always such a big help!

After a little luncheon, my family realized we were all together at the same time and dressed up, so we took the opportunity to have a small photo shoot since none of us could remember the last time we took a family picture. Too bad the lighting in the gym isn't that great, but it's still nice to have documentation of us all together!
