"It's a boy thing" Scrapbook Layout by Louise

Hi Crafters

Sharing a new layout "It's a boy thing"

I adore this chipboard - it's just perfect for my scrapping style.

You'll find the chippie in the A2Z Scraplets store here.

For the chipboard - I've added white gesso then coloured with the Distress Crayons - sealing it with clear embossing powder.
I coordinated the colours with the fabulous "You Rock" collection from Cocoa Vanilla Studio.

"Relax & Unwind" Scrapbook Layout by Louise

Hi Crafters

Here is a new layout to share
"Relax & Unwind"

The Relax & Unwind chipboard was the inspiration for this page.

I've coated it in black ink - Simple!

I chose some photos of my boys on the first trip to the movies - A great way to relax and unwind.

I've also used Nested Circles again treated with black ink.

I've kept this page nice and simple, with some machine stitching, black ink and some pops of red - to match with the photos.

Thanks for visiting.

"Please don't grow up" Scrapbook layout by Louise

Hi Scrap Friends

I'm sharing my layout inspired by the August challenge.

"Please don't grow up"

This month we've got a fun sketch to use with the requirement to use a new product or technique.

Image may contain: text

I went looking through my stash and found this fabulous
Please Don't Grow Up Chipboard
I knew I had some great photos of my boys looking super grown up and it was perfect.

My technique is one I borrowed from the Colour Blast Blog.
Heat emboss the chipboard and while it's still hot, press a stamp into the embossing powder to add texture. I've used a Kaisercraft brick stamp.
To help my texture stand out, I've also "dirtied" up my chipboard with some white gesso.

This page features a water colour background and a bit of a cityscape theme - purely by accident - I chose most elements from my stash.

Really pleased with how this one turned out and it's disappointing that the photo doesn't do it justice.

Thanks for visiting.

"Pawprints on my Heart" Scrapbook Layout with Louise

Hi Crafters

I'd like to share a new scrapbook layout - "Pawprints on my Heart"

I've used the seriously cute
chipboard. I've given the chippie a coat of white gesso. I've used
Colour Blast "Bling" embossing powder on the word "heart" and coloured the other part with Distress Crayons.

received a coat of Colour Blast embossing powder in "Royalty"

I didn't really start with a purple theme but I love the Royalty embossing powder so I kind of ran with it. No mixed media but a lovely symmetrical page.

"Zoom" Scrapbook layout by Louise

Hi Scrap Friends

I'm sharing a new layout titled "Zoom"

I started this layout with the
which I've treated with a coat of gesso followed by gold acrylic paint.
I also mounted it on the patterned paper to help it lift off the page!

Papers and elements on this page are from Kitaholic Kit Club and include the patterned papers, flair, thickers and embellishments.

I started this page by creating as I normally would - patterned background paper with layers.
I decided it was looking a little bit like everything else I create so tilted it on an angle - trimmed the background, mounted on white card and added some machine stitching.

I just love how this one turned out. So simple and easy but really different!

Thanks for visiting.

"Picture Perfect" Scrapbook Layout by Louise

Hi Scrap Friends

Louise with you today sharing a new layout
"Picture Perfect"

I just love this title but found it very hard to find a photo/s to use with it.

You can find "Picture Perfect" chipboard here

To achieve this chipboard look, follow the steps below:

- Cover chipboard with gesso
- Starting at the top, apply different colour gelatos (I used green, blue and turquoise) in an ombre effect
- smudge the colours with your finger so that they blend
- repeat with more colour until desired effect is achieved
- cover chipboard with clear embossing powder to seal

The background of this page is:

- white and silver acrylic paint spread with an old reward card
- Liquitex glass bead gel mixed with Colour blast shimmer dust in "Midnight"
- Apply through stencil allow to dry naturally

Project life using A2z scraplets

Hi Caz here with you today sharing some pages I created of photos of a concert I went to back in 2011. I had lots of photos I wanted to add to these pages but did not want to make heaps and heaps of pages so I decided to do it project life style. For me I find this is a way to complete events where you have many photos. I get weighed down by it and they just seem to sit and never get completed. This takes all the weight off my shoulder and they are completed in no time.

I am sharing the pages with you that I used A2z scraplets on. It was a Cold chisel concert and in all I think I had 14 pages including the tour programme and a sign my cute little daughter made for me to hold at the concert. I added it as it was such a cute little gesture.

#best time ever was the one scraplet. I cut it to fit on the card and it fit perfectly. It is out of the Hashtag photowords set of 6 PL.
All the scraplets I have just sprayed with Lindys stamp gang Starburst gold spray.
The little star and hashtag are from Symbols 1 small

#lifeisgreat is out of the Hashtag photowords set of 6 PL.

The my story arrow above is from the My story set of 5 pieces PL
Am hoping that you have gained some inspiration from these pages and maybe theres some piles of photos that you have been meaning to scrap but did not know how to go about it. Have fun.

Till next time
