"xoxoxo" Scrapbook layout by Louise

Hi Crafters

On this day in Australia we remember all those who served and died in all wars, conflicts, and peacekeeping operations and the contribution and suffering of all those who served.

Image result for anzac day

***

Today's project is not Anzac themed, but I hope you will still enjoy it.

My layout "xoxoxo"

Not only am I stash busting my way through 2018, but I'm getting through some photos too.
This is an oldie and not a particularly clear photo but I really wanted to record it.
I chose colours reflecting the photo - navy, blue and white.

Cooper loves to tell Pop stories so I thought the "xoxoxo" chipboard word would make a great title.

I gave it a coat of white gesso, coloured with Distress Crayons and then sealed with Colour Blast "Snow White" embossing powder.

As the page was developing and I was creating layers, I added the
Chipboard Frame
simply covered with Colour Blast "Steel" embossing powder

Background featuring Colour Blast sprays.
The rest of the page features some paper layering and stickers.

Thanks for visiting.

"Summer's Here" Scrapbook Layout with Louise

Hi Crafters

I've got a bright summer layout for you today... "Summer's Here"

This adorable collection is "Hello Sunshine" from Fancy Pants Designs.

Perfect for the
Summer's Here word

I've given it a coat of gesso and then coloured it with the Tim Holtz Distress Crayons.

I printed my photo in 5x7 and then overlayed with the
Arrows in a circle frame
coated with Colour Blast embossing powder in "Apple of my eye"

I've used the packaging technique on the background with Colour Blast sprays and used the bright die cut ephemera from the collection to accent the papers.

Thanks for visiting.

"Beautiful Girl" Scrapbook layout + process video

Hi Scrap Friends

I've got a new layout + process video to share - "Beautiful Girl"

I don't often think of myself as beautiful, so this layout is a reminder to myself (and hopefully you too) that we are all beautiful and to be kind to ourselves.

I'm really drawn to film strip at the moment so this
grabbed me right away.

I've also used the
as my title.

I've given the "Beautiful" a coat of embossing powder and the "GIRL" has a coat of gesso and coloured with Distress Crayon.

The background features Distress Oxide ink - so if you'd like to see it, you can check out this process video.

Thanks for visiting.

"Sparkle" scrapbook layout by Louise

Hi Scrap Friends

I'm sharing a new layout
"Sparkle"

I chose this fabulous chipboard from the
Shine, Sparkle, Happy collection.

This chipboard got a treatment of Nuvo embossing powder and while it was still warm, I curved the chipboard so it would bend around the top of the doily.

Other elements on this page include acrylic paint background and stamping and heat embossing with the same powder. Some small floral embellishments and black ink splatters to finish.

Thanks for visiting.

"Hello Life" Scrapbook Layout by Louise

Hi Crafters

I've got a new layout to share.

"Hello Life"

When completing this page, I channeled the fabulous Di Garling
who is amazing at layers and mixed media.
I tried to keep my paper embellishments to a minimum but it was definitely a challenge.

I do like how this one turned out though.

I've used
the word "Life" from the caligraphy set and
the flourish which was treated with two coats of "Steel" Colour Blast Embossing Powder

Thanks for visiting.

"Boys" Scrapbook layout by Louise

Hi Crafters

Louise with you today to share a new scrapbook layout

"Boys"

I was immediately drawn to this honeycomb chipboard.

It came as a frame but I cut it in half diagonally to use it differently.
I gave it a coat of gesso and then layed it out on the page.

It wasn't until I started playing with paper layers and mixed media background that I decided what to do with the chipboard.
I used the Tim Holtz distress Crayons to colour the chipboard and then blended with my finger - no water needed.

The title received two coats of Colour Blast embossing powder in bling.

I've used the

Large chicken wire frame
&
My Boys scripty word

Thanks for visiting.

"Here Comes Trouble" Scrapbook layout by Louise

Hi Crafters

Louise with you today sharing a new layout.

"Here Comes Trouble"

I started this layout with the awesome

Bullseye Shape

and knew straight away I wanted it to be white and then use various papers to fill the gaps.
The chipboard has a couple of coats of white acrylic paint.

I've used the

"Here comes trouble" word

and treated it with two coats of Colour Blast embossing powder in "Steel" & "Envy"

I've been storing this photo for awhile, waiting for the perfect layout.
I love the title and think this photo is a great match.

"Picture Perfect" Scrapbook Layout by Louise

Hi Scrap Friends

Louise with you today sharing a new layout
"Picture Perfect"

I just love this title but found it very hard to find a photo/s to use with it.

You can find "Picture Perfect" chipboard here

To achieve this chipboard look, follow the steps below:

- Cover chipboard with gesso
- Starting at the top, apply different colour gelatos (I used green, blue and turquoise) in an ombre effect
- smudge the colours with your finger so that they blend
- repeat with more colour until desired effect is achieved
- cover chipboard with clear embossing powder to seal

The background of this page is:

- white and silver acrylic paint spread with an old reward card
- Liquitex glass bead gel mixed with Colour blast shimmer dust in "Midnight"
- Apply through stencil allow to dry naturally

"Just Perfect" Scrapbook layout by Louise

Hi Scrap Friends

Louise with you today, sharing a new layout:
"Just Perfect"

For this layout I've used the Kaisercraft Sea Breeze collection and teamed it with a lovely burlap ribbon I found at my local discount store.

These two chipboards are "Just Perfect" - sorry, not sorry!

Find A2Z Scraplets "Just Perfect" here
or
"Large butterfly corner" here

I decided to simply heat emboss them as they are so pretty and detailed, they didn't need a lot of treatment.

I've used Colour Blast Steel and Envy on these chipboards.

Thanks for visiting.
