"Together" Scrapbook layout by Louise

Hi Scrap Friends

Today I'm sharing a layout for A2Z Scraplets

My layout "Together"

I love how the photo can sometimes inspire the page.
I snapped this one of my new pup "Zara" all snuggled up with my big boy "Zeus".
I built some paper layers around the photo and then picked out some chipboard peices.

The Hearts in Rectangles makes a fabulous background piece.
I've coated mine with black gesso, then sprayed with Diamond Finish spray paint - quick & easy.

Image result for dulux duramax diamond finish spray paint

I picked it up at my local hardware store.
I love the glittery finish, with less mess than glitter!!

In the background I've used Distress Oxide Inks before stitching on a large circle.

Finally I've embellished the page with a Charms Creations chevron and some stickers.

Thanks for visiting.
Happy Scrapping.

Magical Moment by Anne

Hi everyone

Today I’m sharing a new layout using two A2Z Scraplets, Border 10 and the Magical Moment word from the new January collection.

I made the background to my layout by first applying blue acrylic paint to patterned cardstock using a dry brush. I then applied  squares of cardstock, colored watercolor paper, canvas, hessian, chipboard and acetate, all layered around the centre of the page.
The A2Z Scraplet, Border 10, was cut into three pieces. All pieces were painted in blue acrylic paint and arranged to provide a frame for the photo and a corner embellishment.
The second A2Z Scraplet, the Magical Moment title was also painted in the same acrylic paint whilst Kaisercraft collectables provided the final embellishments to the page.

Cheers!

Summer Family Fun by Anne

Hi everyone!
This is  my first post with A2Z Scraplets. I’m very excited and proud to be a member of the design team using this great chipboard.  Today I would like to  share with you my layout for this month's challenge. I’m sure you can tell I  just love the summer bright colors from this month’s mood board.
The background to  my layout was made with a  splattering of  acrylic paint in bright colors.

I used the chipboard word Family as my title and gave it a coating with  purple acrylic paint. I then splattered the chipboard with orange and lime green acrylic paint before finishing with a coating of Glossy Accents.

Along with cardstock die cuts and colored gauze I added a couple of wood veneer pieces, faceted rhinestones and sequins to add bling to my already bright page.

Hope your Summer is just as bright!
Thanks for stopping by!

Merry Christmas and a fond farewell

Hi, Judith here with my last ever blog post for A2Z Scraplets. As life has become more busy I have decided it's time to hang up my Design Team boots. I would like to thank Debra for letting me showcase her fantastic chipboard and I wish the new Designers all the best.

To end my time here I thought I would revisit some of my favourite layouts that I have created during my time on the Design Team.

My all time favourite would have to be the first layout I ever created as part of my Design Team and it has been made even more special as I lost my special boy a couple of months ago.
It was great fun zentangling on the chipboard!

My second favourite highlights the wonderful templates A2Z Scraplets sold. I loved creating the background with watercolour paints to match my daughter's artwork.

Another favourite was this one featuring 'happy' and 'Australia Day'. This probably showcases my rather eclectic style adding bits and pieces.

During my time at A2Z Scraplets, I got back to creating a few double layouts. I had such fun creating this one of our visit to London featuring the A2Z Scraplets London chipboard piece.

My final share is one of my more recent layouts. A lot of my layouts featured animals at the various zoos around Australia. A2Z Scraplets has a lot of zoo related titles and a few others that can be used for animal photos. This layout features my beloved lion cubs at Werribee Zoo. I think I have more photos of the 3 sets of cubs than my own children! (That's because they were born pre-digital cameras).

Thanks for taking time out of your Christmas schedule for remembering this journey at A2Z Scraplets with me.

I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy Scrappy Chippy New Year!!

Chinese Gardens by Judith Armstrong

Hello, and welcome to the weekend. Today I have a double layout to share with you featuring A2Z Scraplets chipboard.

Here is a closer look at the left side.

And the right side.

This A2Z Scraplets Chinese Pagoda Shape was perfect for this layout.  I covered it by painting with acrylic paint.

I also used the A2Z Scraplets Chinese Gardens word. I also painted this with acrylic paint.

Thanks for looking

Father & Daughter by Judith Armstrong

Good morning and welcome to the weekend. Not long now until Christmas. I am getting through some more of my wedding photos from nearly 25 years ago!

I have used the A2Z Scraplets title - Father and Daughter Scripty Word. I have used Bo Bunny Gold Pearlescents to cover it. This is a bit like a thinnish texture paste in a pen. It gives a two tone colour where there are thicker parts.

I also used the Bo Bunny Pearlescents to cover my A2Z Scraplets Floral Corner 2810 Small.  You actually get 2 of these but I only needed one for this layout.

Thanks for looking.

Small but fierce - December A2Z Scraplets Papercraft Challenge sample by Judith Armstrong

Good morning and welcome to my take on the last challenge for the year. This months challenge is to use at least 2 items that have either been reused, repurposed or recycled on your project. Further details can be found on our Facebook page here

Here is my take:

The two items I have used are some some gold ribbon that was originally used to tie up a bouquet of flowers and pieces of a string bag that with mandarins came in.

I loved the A2Z Scraplet title Small but fierce and knew I had the perfect lion cub photo for it. I painted the title gold and then added some gold kinderglitz over the top to give it a sparkly look.

Thanks for looking

Your time to shine by Judith Armstrong

Good morning and welcome to my last share for the month. This is a layout about my daughter and her valedictory dinner, last year.

I decided to create a very blingly shiny layout to complement the title. I used the A2Z Scraplets Your time to shine title which was released last month. I inked it with a silver ink.

Thanks for looking.

It's all about the hair by Judith Armstrong

Hi and welcome to the weekend. It's a very busy one for me as we have our local photographic exhibition on at the Bacchus Marsh Strawberries and Cherry Festival.
Today I'm sharing a girly layout about my daughter and her hair.

As soon as I saw this title I knew I had to get it as my daughter has extremely long hair. This is her hair 7 years ago, it is now nealy down to her knees. I used the A2Z Scraplets It's all about the hair title . I inked it with some Distress Ink.

Also used a few of the chevron pieces that came out of the middle of the arrows in the  A2Z Scraplets Arrow Set 20 Shape. I also inked them with Distress Ink.

Olly Murs in concert by Judith Armstrong

Good morning and welcome to the weekend. Today I am sharing a layout about my daughter's surprize trip to see Olly Murs in concert.

I used the A2Z Scraplets In Concert 2 as part of my title. I inked it with silver ink to match the rest of my title.

To add a bit of blue to the layout I painted the star border from A2Z Scraplets Border Strip 09 with blue metallic paint.

Thanks for looking.
