Their misconduct is no less prejudicial
to morals. We are, for instance, told by Diogenes
of Babylon, that Leonides, Alexander's paedagogus,
infected his pupil with certain faults, which as a
result of his education as a boy clung to him even in
his maturer years when he had become the greatest
of kings.
