Violating a Market ordinance.

--Warner Carlton, whose place of business is at the Second Market, was arraigned yesterday to answer the charge of buying a shoat to sell again in violation of the market ordinance. Mr. Carlton denied buying the hog to sell again, but said it was his intention so have it salted down for his own use. The Mayor had his own convictions about the transaction, however, and ordered the confiscation of the meat, with an additional fine of $5.--The hog was valued at $142.
