Tableaux in Nashville.
--A correspondent of the Cincinnati Commercial gives the following account of a recent exhibition in Nashville:‘ About as ludicrous an affair as has come under my observation on this trip occurred at Nashville a few nights ago. A young man from Ohio came down to that city to work under the auspices of the Christian Commission. Among other enterprises he started was a contraband school. For a few nights his school was largely attended, and he determined to add an additional attractive feature in the shape of a tableau at the conclusion of his school. All "niggerdom" was on hand in the old church to see the "tabular show, " as they called it. At length the magnificent spectacle was presented. It was the tableau to the parable of the Ten Virgins. Ten of the sleekest "Dinahs" the house had in it, dressed in the most fantastic attire, marched in "single file" upon the platform and came to a "front" Each held a tallow can die, five of which were burning and five blown out. As they stood there grinning and grinned st, while the lecturer radiated upon the important lesson taught, who could have failed to be impressed? The school "broke up" in a few days, and the Christian Commission being unable to appreciate the young man's services, he took a "contraband" recruiting commission, and was doing service in that capacity at last accounts.
