The Abolition Methodists.
--The Methodists of Illinois recently met in Conference at Springfield and passed a resolution in favor of arming the negroes. Gov. Yates and Gen. McClernan were introduced to the Conference, and were received with rounds of applause. The oath of allegiance was administered to the members by Gov. Yates, who spoke for two hours. His speech abounded in profanity, end was loudly cheered. Gen. McClernan emptied himself of a political harangue. Radical delegates were elected to the General Conference. The venerable Peter Cartwright, who had been elected to twelve General Conferences, was rejected for the reason that he was not sufficiently radical. A distinguished minister in Cincinnati has refused to admit Democrats to the sacramental table. So they go.
