Still fighting

The Washington Star, in a boasting account of the cavalry combats in Londons, notices with special encomium the gallantry of the 1st Rhode Island, Col. Doffle, which is represented as having pursued and intercepted the rebels, and compelling them to expedite their flight, followed "them up." It concludes that Col. Kilpatrick heard from them as late as 7 P. M., when "they were still fighting."--It turns out that Gen. Stuart captured nearly the whole of this regiment. They certainly intercepted the rebels, and have shared the glory of so many of their brother soldiers — or rather robbers — who have successfully achieved their "On to Richmond!"
