In the Texas House of Delegates, a few days ago, a resolution was adopted instruct, the Sergeant-at-Arms to remove from the beak of the angle, over the speaker's chair, the United State motto ‘"EPluribun Unum."’ We notice since, that the obnoxious motto is absent.

Major Joseph H. Goodbar, an old and patriotic citizen of Morristown, Tennessee, died at that place on the 14th inst.
