Richmond Excited.

--The first muttering of thunder from the other side of the Atlantic, which was borne hither yesterday on electric wings, stirred up quite an excitement among our people, whose patience had become well high exhausted by long waiting for the news. It was discussed at the street corners, in the highways and by-ways, and the gravity of our deliberative assemblies was quite upset for a time. It is good news, what there is of it; but unless the excitement is speedily fed by another instalment, it will soon languish, and Richmond will relapse into its wonted quiet.
