Election of Railroad Superintend.

--At a meeting of the Directors of the Richmond and Petersburg Railroad Company, held yesterday, Mr. E. H. Gill was elected Superintendent of Transportation, vice Mr. Thos. H. Wynne, resigned. It was determined to add $500 to the salary, making it $2,500; and under these circumstances it is presumed that Mr. Gill will be induced to relinquish his present position on the Virginia and Tennessee Railroad.
