Virginia from for cannon.

That four-pound cannon, made of Virginia iron have been so long at the State Factory are being re-boxed and rifled after the Parrataipian. Some of these guns were used yesterday, when all stood the full and in experimenting upon one, stood a charge of of powder, with a shot of lbs., without injuryless. As three quarters of a of powder and a 7½ pound shot is the charge for the field, there can now be about the strength of these guns. This statement should give confidence to those who have to use them.
