Thomas H. Burrows, who represents himself as a printer from Richmond, was arrested in Petersburg on Monday on suspicion that he had been guilty of forgery, which suspicion was aroused by seeing him sign a small note to present in payment for a drink he had taken. On his person, says the Express, were found a number of fifty-cent notes on the ‘"United Savings Bank"’ of Henrico county, and a large roll of twenty-five cent and one-dollar notes on the Bank of Commerce at Richmond, none of which were signed. Burrows says that the notes were printed in Richmond, in the office in which he was employed, and it is probable he may have purloined these.
